Good Pets: Team Spirit Returns

We asked. You answered. Welcome to the return of one our most popular features.

By Doug Segrest | September 6, 2022

There’s a nip in the air – somewhere, trust us. School’s back. The aisles of the stores are filled with pumpkins and ghostly goblin-themed treats. The leaves will be turning color very soon. Plus, the college football season has begun, and the NFL is on deck.

What better time to mark the return of our popular feature, Good Pets? This feature wags its tail every so often on Doing More Today, all in the hopes of bringing a smile to your face as you pore over precious pet pics.

With apologies to the late, great Kurt Cobain, this latest edition of Good Pets smells like team spirit. Because what is cuter than a furry family friend showing off their sports-loving sidekicks? We can’t think of much else.

We asked for new submissions and you delivered. So, take a few minutes and get your smile on.

You’ll meet Roxie, a Tennessee fan from the Florida Panhandle. There’s a Merle, a gorgeous creature who has gone to the Dawgs to root on Georgia. Noella loves the South Carolina Gamecocks, even though she lives and plays in East Tennessee.

In Mississippi, Cleo is such a dedicated New Orleans Saints fan that she wears the team colors permanently. In Birmingham, Bro Wrinkles is dedicated to the Auburn Tigers, and thinks his team will surprise everyone. And did we mention the biggest Cleveland Browns fans in all of Georgia? Linus, Kona and Riley are Dawg Pound loyalists.

And we’re just getting started.
