Forward in Forsyth: Regions Bank Opens Modern Branch in Cumming

Grand opening activities recognize healthcare heroes, humane society, as well as school and community groups.

By Veleka Finch | April 7, 2022

CUMMING, Ga. – April 7, 2022 – Regions Bank on Thursday formally unveiled its fourth new investment in the Atlanta area since 2022 began. The highly modern Hammond’s Crossing branch in Cumming follows the debut of modern Regions locations in Sandy Springs, Loganville, and Marietta unveiled earlier this year. Regions also plans to open a facility in Alpharetta by year’s end.

The Hammond’s Crossing branch, in the Publix shopping center on Keith Bridge Road,  combines the latest technology with personalized service to make banking easier for customers in the high-growth Forsyth County community. Regions leaders joined the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce at a ribbon-cutting for the new location.

“We’ve built a network of enhanced branches across North Georgia, and our Hammond’s Crossing location reflects Regions’ commitment to keeping customer convenience as a top priority,” said Bill Linginfelter, Metro Atlanta market executive for Regions Bank. “In addition to Regions’ upgraded digital tools that place the power of the bank in customers’ hands, our outstanding team of local bankers deliver a wealth of experience on achieving present-day and future financial goals.”

As Cumming’s newest neighbors, Regions associates held several events to recognize healthcare workers and community organizations. The bank’s trademark LifeGreen ‘big bike’ led the way on each occasion.

“The Hammond’s Crossing team delivered 250 lunches to the medical staff of Northside Hospital,” said Mia Hubbard, Consumer Banking executive for Regions. “We want them to know, ‘We see you. We appreciate you. We hope to brighten your day.’ We also attended the North Forsyth High School Family Fun Fest to acquaint local educators, families and community leaders with the Regions way of meeting banking and community needs.”

Regions made a $5,000 donation to No Longer Bound, a nonprofit addiction treatment center for men in Cumming. The bank also presented the Forsyth County Humane Society a bevy of pet foods and supplies collected during a special drive organized by Regions associates.

“We appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received from people who live and work in the Cumming community,” said Priscilla Pocock, Hammond’s Crossing branch manager. “Our customers value the fact that every banker here can take care of basic or in-depth needs – helping people financially grow from where they are today to where they want to be in the future. And they are really impressed by the state-of-the-art features that give them greater capabilities to bank on their terms.”

Those features include the absence of waiting in a traditional teller line. Instead, when customers enter the Hammond’s Crossing branch, they are instantly greeted by a Regions banker who’s able to serve them during their entire visit – from handling basic transactions to more detailed conversations about long-term money goals.

In addition to local service, the branch offers enhancements like Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through a “walk-up” Video Banking ATM near the entrance of the branch, Regions customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

“You may need to do something as simple as cash a check; or maybe you need to explore options like financing for home improvements or creating a financial roadmap for building savings to meet future expenses,” Hubbard concluded. “For all of those needs – and the financial needs in between – our team at Hammond’s Crossing is here for you.”

Regions’ Video Banking ATMs connect customers via live, two-way video for personalized service during an expanded set of hours. The new Hammond’s Crossing location offers a Video Banking ATM onsite for walk-up customers.
