New Name, More Ways to Earn Cash Back

Regions Offers has replaced Cashback Rewards and given debit, Now Card® — and now credit card users — the opportunity to earn cash back.

By Wayne Thompson | May 3, 2023

What’s New

Regions has changed the name of its merchant-funded rewards program from Cashback Rewards to Regions Offers and made it easier for thousands more customers to get cash back from their purchases.

All Regions credit card customers now join the millions of Regions debit card and Regions Now Card® users already able to earn rewards for making purchases at participating merchants.

We’re excited to expand and relaunch the program as Regions Offers – a win-win-win scenario for everyone.

In 2022, Regions awarded $832,000 in cash back to customers – among more than 400 brands in six different industry categories offering relevant and cost-saving offers to customers.

“We’re excited to expand and relaunch the program as Regions Offers – a win-win-win scenario for everyone,” said Kristin Williams, head of Loyalty and Rewards Programs for Regions.

“Customers can earn cash back from brands they love, merchants gain new or repeat business, and Regions gets to reward our customers for their loyalty.”

Regions Offers launched first on mobile April 14, and Online Banking followed April 26.

Why It Matters

Loyalty and rewards programs play a key role in customers’ consideration to do business with a brand and then stick with it afterward.

In fact, a February 2023 study by McKinsey found that 60% of consumers surveyed would increase their purchasing frequency, choose a company, recommend it to others, or pay a premium for its services based on the quality of its offers, loyalty points or enhanced loyalty status.

A 2023 survey by Brandmovers found another important benefit for rewards programs that Williams agreed is making them even more popular.

“With this enhancement, we’re not only giving customers the choice of which offer and which card they want, but also a way to stretch their dollars when inflation has increased the cost of everything – especially food and gas,” she said.

How it Works

To activate Regions Offers, navigate to the Rewards & Offers section of the mobile app or to your account page in Online Banking.

Activate offers, shop at your selected retailer with your selected card, then enjoy cash credited back to your account or card. Offers are generated based on your current spending so they’re the most relevant to you.

“The more personalized you can make the experience,” Williams said, “the better it is for the customer.”
