Regions Bank Awarded Mental Health America Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health

National honor recognizes Regions Bank as a leader in supporting associate wellbeing.

By Jeremy King | May 20, 2026

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – May 20, 2026 – Regions Bank on Wednesday announced the company has been awarded a 2026 Gold Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, a national recognition given to U.S. employers that demonstrate a strong commitment to creating mentally healthy workplaces.

The Bell Seal is issued by Mental Health America, a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the U.S. The award recognizes organizations that meet rigorous, evidence-based standards across workplace culture, benefits, compliance and holistic wellness.

What Leaders are Saying:

“Supporting mental health at work is not a one-time initiative; it’s an ongoing commitment grounded in how we care for our associates every day,” said Angela Santone, chief people officer at Regions Bank. “This recognition reflects the importance we place on providing meaningful benefits, encouraging early support, and fostering a workplace culture rooted in respect and care.”

Angela Santone, chief people officer at Regions Bank

What the Bell Seal Means:

Only about 40% of organizations that apply for the Bell Seal receive recognition at any level, making the Gold designation a significant achievement. Regions’ Gold designation reflects the programs and resources offered to help support associates — not just on the job, but through life’s challenges as well.

Associates have access to a range of resources designed to meet real‑life wellbeing needs, including:

  • Mental health coverage through Regions’ medical plans, including counseling and behavioral health care
  • A confidential Employee Assistance Program through Headspace, offering free counseling with a licensed therapist, plus support for stress, emotional wellbeing, family concerns and more
  • Paid time off and leave options designed to support balance, recovery and caregiving

“Mental health is a critical part of overall wellbeing and long-term workforce strength,” Santone added. “We are proud of the progress we’ve made and remain committed to building on this work.”
