What
Yellowhammer News, Alabama’s second-largest media outlet, recently announced their 2024 Power & Influence 50. Each year, the news site recognizes top individuals who are leveraging their power and influence for those they represent in the state. The list factors recent policy and political developments and includes Alabama business leaders, lobbyists, consultants and elected officials. Isbell, who joined Regions in 2021, has been named to the list each of the last three years.
Why
In its announcement, Yellowhammer News stated that Regions Bank, Alabama’s financial sector, as well as the state’s business community at large, are fortunate to have Isbell speaking and influencing on their behalf in Montgomery.
The outlet went on to describe Jason’s many contributions, mentioning that he is a decorated veteran of the Alabama State House who brings to bear vast experience from both the public and private sector as a legal, financial and governmental affairs professional in his conversations with lawmakers and decisionmakers.
The profile wrapped up with a nod to Isbell’s strong leadership, saying, “As a representative of one of the Southeast’s most trustworthy institutions, it is fitting that Jason is among the most trustworthy figures in Alabama politics.”
In His Own Words
“Yellowhammer News’ annual Power and Influence list includes some of the hardest-working public servants and client advocates in state government. From Alabama Governor Kay Ivey on down, this list is an impressive snapshot of the many elected officials, policymakers, and government affairs professionals who truly want our state to remain a great place to work, live, and raise a family.
I’m proud to once again be numbered among them, work alongside them, and call many of them friends. More than anything, my inclusion on this list is a testament to the important role Regions Bank plays in communities all across Alabama as well as in the economic success of the state as a whole. It’s an honor to represent such a great company in the state capitals throughout our footprint, but especially in our home state of Alabama.
Today’s divisive political climate can make folks bristle at the thought of working in government affairs. But for me, it has been and remains a very rewarding experience, and it’s gratifying to represent a company that places such an emphasis on customers and associates.”
