For participants in Regions Bank’s 2026 Emerging Talent Program, the summer offered far more than an introduction to banking. It provided opportunities to learn from leaders, tackle real business challenges, serve local communities and build relationships that will support their careers long after the program ends.

“The Emerging Talent Program is designed to help participants build meaningful connections, gain real-world experience and develop skills that will serve them throughout their careers,” said Rodney Young, Talent Management Program Manager. “Whether they’re learning from senior leaders, working alongside teammates, volunteering in our communities or contributing to business initiatives, interns and analysts get a firsthand look at what makes Regions a great place to grow and build a career.”

Learning from Leaders

One of the highlights of the summer was the opportunity to hear directly from leaders across Regions, including Chairman, President and CEO, John Turner. Through executive panels, networking events and small group discussions, participants gained insights into leadership, career development and the priorities shaping the future of banking.

Bringing the Business to Life

The Emerging Talent Program welcomed college interns and early career analysts to serve in a variety of areas across the company. Interns participated in the Regions 101 speaker series, exploring topics ranging from supporting associates to serving local markets and managing risk. Analysts took part in business simulations and collaborative learning experiences that connected their day-to-day work to the bank’s broader strategy.

Building Skills for the Future

Professional development remained a focus throughout the summer. Participants attended workshops on strengths-based leadership, communication, resilience and career readiness, gaining practical tools they can carry forward as they continue to grow professionally.

Making Life Better

Participants also experienced Regions’ commitment to making life better through volunteer opportunities across the company’s footprint. From financial wellness education for children to hands-on service projects, associates contributed their time and talents to support local communities.

Innovation and Collaboration

The summer included opportunities to learn, collaborate and have fun. Participants supporting the Technology, Operations, Digital & Data area worked together during an AWS-sponsored technology hackathon and  attended events such as Sloss Tech. And, across all disciplines, interns and analysts connected with peers across markets through networking and social activities. Those experiences helped build relationships that extend beyond the summer program.
