There’s a lot of growth and excitement in the Tampa Bay area. And Regions is in the middle of all the action.
The Tampa Bay metro area, home to more than 3 million residents, includes three major cities, four counties, and several bustling towns and neighborhoods. Those communities surround a 400-square-mile body of water that includes Florida’s largest port, which ranks among the top 10 ports nationwide in trade activity and contributes billions annually to the region’s economy.
A recent report indicates the Tampa Bay region’s economy has grown 25 percent and includes three of the largest local economies in the state. Technology, real estate, healthcare and tourism are among the biggest economic drivers for the area.
Regions Bank has two market teams in place to serve the booming population and business expansion, one in Tampa and another in St. Petersburg-Clearwater. Those teams include two market executives, 53 branches and hundreds of associates, including Retail and Mortgage bankers, Small-Business and Commercial Banking relationship managers and Wealth Management advisors.

Even though we’re separated by the Bay, we leverage our local partners and every month our combined team meets to talk through our Regions360 referrals.
Their secret to success? Teamwork and collaboration.
Instead of working in silos and focusing on their own side of the Bay, the two market teams come together to execute Regions360, the bank’s approach for serving customers’ unique needs.
A critical element Regions360 success comes from Leadership Circle meetings, where senior bankers from all areas of the business gather on a regular basis to share goals, discuss business referrals, as well as community engagement, volunteer activities and other opportunities to collaborate.

On a quarterly basis we volunteer together as a leadership team.
“Even though we’re separated by the Bay, we leverage our local partners and every month our combined team meets to talk through our Regions360 referrals,” said Tricia Johnson, St. Petersburg-Clearwater market executive and Consumer Banking manager. “It’s efficient and we’re so much more effective when we work together as one team.”
April Grajales, Tampa market executive and Commercial Banking leader, added that team engagement is another benefit of this approach. “On a quarterly basis we volunteer together as a leadership team,” she said. “Our most recent opportunity was at the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida camp, which experienced significant hurricane damage last fall from Helene and Milton. We rolled up our sleeves and stood side-by-side to give back.”
In this brief video, Johnson and Grajales are joined by Jeremy Whitehead, Consumer Banking manager, who describes a recent successful collaboration between internal partners and a local community organization.
Stephanie Stanfield, Private Wealth Management wealth advisor, is a longtime member of the Tampa Bay Leadership Circle. She shared her passionate conviction that strong cross-functional, cross-Bay teamwork is the secret sauce for “winning in Tampa Bay.”
