The Year in Review – 2024

Take a few minutes to relive some of Doing More Today’s storytelling highlights from the past year.

By Doug Segrest | December 30, 2024

The year 2024 will go down as a memorable one on so many levels. But before we move ahead, let’s take one last look at the great work contributed by our Doing More Today team, which captured the people, communities, insights and those moments that made life a little better.

“Over the past year, Doing More Today has had the privilege of sharing incredible moments that highlight the heart of Regions and its associates, the positive impacts made in communities across our footprint, and the lessons we can learn from,” said Nicole Wyatt, Corporate Communications Senior Business Partner. “These stories are a testament to what’s possible when people come together to make life better – and they’re worth revisiting, not just to reflect, but to spark new inspiration for the year ahead.”

Community Engagement

A Single Mom’s Path

“Mama did it!” Thanks to a grant from Regions Bank to Habitat for Humanity for Greater Nashville, Phlonda Davis found the pathway to home ownership. But help from Habitat goes beyond a construction loan, helping ensure the new house is a forever home.

Celebrating a 30-year Partnership

With support from Regions Bank, Auburn University Rural Studio helps people in under-resourced communities thrive today while building generational wealth for tomorrow.

Striking a Chord

“I’m going to buy a guitar. I knew I needed to play that thing.” In North Carolina, one woman’s music-playing passion inspired her to scale to new heights to help others.

Hometown Heroes

Tornadoes slammed the place they call home. After the storm, a group of teachers, students and Regions bankers came together to deliver meals, hugs and hope to neighbors in need.

‘Tis is the Season

Oh, what Fun!

The switch is flipped. The lights are on. And with the nightly illumination of Birmingham’s Regions Center, a sure sign of the season in Central Alabama is back! Each year, teams from the bank set up the designs of Christmas trees, a giant wreath and a huge stocking that light up the glass “curtain wall” design of the building in a brilliant display.

Totality Awesome

Associates at 128 Regions branches and offices found themselves in the path of the total solar eclipse last April.

‘Beary Special Deliveries’

In the wake of unprecedented flooding in East Tennessee, Regions bankers help deliver hope – and normalcy – with the second annual Miles of Smiles outreach to schoolchildren.
