Regions Bank recently announced the launch of a multi-faceted approach toward helping consumers build financial confidence. The focus kicks off during Financial Literacy Month in April with free online Regions Next Step® seminars, in-person events at branches, and opportunities for people to receive free, personalized guidance in setting and tracking their financial goals through Regions’ Greenprint® experience.
It’s an effort that’s rooted in a back-to-basics approach to helping people be more financially informed and confident. But it’s also one that’s rooted in some interesting realities when it comes to financial confidence.
According to the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Retail Banking Advice Satisfaction Study, 59% of respondents expected banks to improve their financial health but nearly two-thirds (62%) couldn’t remember receiving any financial advice from their bank over the past year.
At Regions, we believe everyone should have a chance to build their financial confidence through a personalized plan, sound advice, and support along the way.
Kate Danella, head of Regions’ Consumer Banking Group
What’s often missing is an individualized approach and personal connection. Whether it’s about savings, debt, budgeting or similar issues, people benefit from having goals, a plan to reach them, and knowing they have useful information and a trusted financial professional with them along the way. It’s something that Regions is also showcasing in new advertisements that highlight Regions’ commitment to helping people build financial confidence.
“At Regions, we believe everyone should have a chance to build their financial confidence through a personalized plan, sound advice, and support along the way,” said Kate Danella, head of Regions’ Consumer Banking Group. “That’s our commitment, and it’s why we’re providing even more resources and new financial wellness opportunities starting in April’s Financial Literacy Month.”
It’s this type of relationship-based, individualized service combined with transformative technology and products that Regions has been enhancing across the company’s branch network for a long time.
Free Financial Webinars – How to Be Confident With Money℠
New webinars debuting as part of Regions’ celebration of Financial Literacy Month will focus on how to develop a healthy relationship with money and what actions people can take to reach their own financial goals.

Greenprint® Planning
Regions’ Greenprint® experience creates a personalized – and free – plan designed to help consumers plot a course to achieve their financial goals. Working with a Regions banker, customers build a plan focused on the goals they set, supported along the way by personalized data and guidance, digital and in-person touchpoints, smart product solutions, and more.
The enhanced Greenprint® experience is available by making an appointment and visiting a Regions branch to talk to a banker, and includes ongoing advice, guidance, tools, and resources.
Free Greenprint® Events
In April, Regions will host flash Greenprint® plan events in two cities (and more in the future) – Chattanooga, Tenn., and Houston, Texas. At these events, Regions will be providing food, fun, and some surprises, while it encourages attendees – customers and the general public – to complete a Greenprint® plan.
Event dates are:
In 2023 alone, Regions helped customers create more than 855,000 personalized Greenprint® plans. The Greenprint® process was first launched in Regions branches in 2020, and it has been steadily updated to provide more comprehensive advice and guidance, frequent digital and banker check-ins to help customers stay on track, and personalized approaches based on a customer’s established goals.
“Our role as a bank is about so much more than simply opening accounts or processing transactions,” concluded Danella. “It’s about using experience, insights, empathy, and actionable ideas to help people build greater financial confidence and ultimately financial security.”
