Regions Bank Offers Customer Support Following Hurricane Zeta

Disaster-recovery financial services are combined with local experience and community commitment.

By Jeremy King | October 29, 2020

First came Laura. Then Sally. Then Delta. Now, the Gulf Coast is facing the impacts of Hurricane Zeta.

Regions Bank stood with our customers and communities through the earlier storms. And we’ll stand with our neighbors once again as cleanup and restoration from Zeta gets under way.

The bank on Thursday announced disaster-recovery financial services for customers in impacted areas of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama1. Those services include no check-cashing fees for FEMA-issued checks2, personal and business loan payment assistance3, and Regions Mortgage Disaster Relief Purchase and Renovation loan programs.

We encourage customers to contact us and discuss how we can help.
John Anderson, consumer banking executive for Regions

“The Gulf Coast is our home, and we are here to listen to the individual needs of people and businesses impacted by Zeta,” said John Anderson, consumer banking executive for Regions. “We are working to reopen branches in impacted areas as quickly as possible, and our digital banking options are available around the clock. Our team has years of experience working hand-in-hand with clients to meet their needs following natural disasters, and we encourage customers to contact us and discuss how we can help.”

In addition to the services announced Thursday, Regions maintains a year-round Customer Assistance Program. Through this program, bankers listen to specific challenges facing people and businesses and then work with individual customers to explore various options.

A dedicated team is available at 1-800-411-9393 to help with questions and concerns. Regions also has helpful recovery information in the bank’s Disaster Resource Center, linked here on Regions.com. General account services are available at any time via regions.com and the updated Regions mobile app.

3 Subject to credit approval. Interest will continue to accrue during the period that the payment is skipped or deferred. For installment loans, deferring or skipping payment(s) may extend the maturity of your loan but will not automatically extend any optional insurance. Forbearances, skipped payments, and deferrals generally (a) vary by customer, (b) postpone – rather than forgive – certain payment obligations, and (c) require payment in full of the postponed payments at the end of the forbearance or deferral period, in addition to any other amounts that come due, unless you make other arrangements with Regions to resolve the delinquency.
