FORT SMITH, Ark. – Jan. 21, 2024 – Regions Bank and Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce leaders last Thursday cut the ribbon on a new, cutting-edge banking location serving the River Valley. The celebration occurred at Regions Bank’s Fort Smith Main branch in the heart of the West Garrison Avenue Historic District.

“The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce congratulates Regions Bank on the ribbon cutting of their new location on Garrison Avenue,” said Tonya Sarlls, vice president of Operations with the Chamber. “We are honored to be part of this special day and thrilled to see Regions continue its presence in downtown Fort Smith.”

Opening its doors in December, the relocated Regions branch at 524 Garrison Ave. combines the classic look of the area’s historic surroundings with modern technology features to elevate convenience and service.

“We’ve completely reimagined the customer experience at our Fort Smith Main location with a nod to the past and a focus on the banking future,” said Rob Fann, branch manager. “Our team looks forward to delivering the personalized service we’re known for while introducing the newest banking tools and resources available for our customers to leverage.”

Those resources include interactive tablets for Regions bankers to guide customers through their free, personalized Regions Greenprint® plan. The Greenprint plan is a unique tool allowing customers to develop tailored financial roadmaps for their short- and long-term goals, with ongoing updates as life circumstances evolve.

The Fort Smith Main location also includes an instant-issue debit card printer, ATM vestibule and single-service safe deposit box access using biometrics to provide easier, more secure access. The branch features three drive-through lanes behind the building, which include a Regions DepositSmart® ATM.

Along with the bank’s investment in branch technology and the Fort Smith business community, Regions also made an investment in the area’s philanthropic community at the ribbon cutting by presenting a $5,000 donation to BOST, Inc., a nonprofit serving people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

“Regions Bank has a deep history of working hand-in-hand with nonprofits to serve our Sebastian County neighbors, including our 30-plus year community partnership with BOST,” said Cheryl Howell, Commercial Banking relationship manager and market executive for Regions Bank in Fort Smith. “While today’s celebration begins an exciting new chapter for our team, it also offers an opportunity for us to reflect on our proud history as a member of the Fort Smith community and repledge our commitment to being an active part of its incredibly bright future.”
