Regions Bank Debuts Modern Branch Concept in Bradenton’s Lakewood Ranch Community

Branch-of-the-future combines local service with more convenient technology.

By Veleka Finch | July 19, 2021

BRADENTON, Fla. – July 19, 2021 – Regions Bank on Monday unveiled its most modern branch along the Suncoast with the opening of its newly relocated Lakewood Ranch branch in suburban Bradenton.

The state-of-the-art branch combines in-person service from experienced local bankers with modern technology to give people and businesses a more convenient way to not only make banking transactions – but also create financial roadmaps toward reaching their short- and long-term goals.

The branch at 11515 State Road 70 East near Lakewood Ranch Blvd. replaces a previous Regions branch at 10650 Boardwalk Loop.

A big part of our commitment to delivering the best experience in banking is our willingness to innovate and embrace new solutions.
Sandra Young, consumer banking executive for Regions

“A big part of our commitment to delivering the best experience in banking is our willingness to innovate and embrace new solutions,” said Sandra Young,  consumer banking executive for Regions. “This inviting new branch offers the best of both worlds to customers. They can meet in-person with a team member and have all of their banking needs handled at once, or they can use the most modern technology available from Regions to date to conduct more of their banking business well outside of traditional banking hours.”

One of the most immediate changes customers will notice is the fact they no longer have to wait in a teller line. Instead, once people enter the branch, they will be greeted personally by a Regions banker ready to assist them with any banking need from opening an account or processing a transaction to having a more detailed conversation around their current financial picture and goals.

In addition, the branch is the first in the immediate area to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through two Video Banking ATMs – one in the drive-through and one “walk-up” machine near the entrance – Regions customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The location also includes two drive-up DepositSmart ATMs, which can accept deposits of cash or checks any time, day or night.

The branch is already welcoming customers who are experiencing the positive changes Regions is bringing to Manatee County.

“It has been really fun for our team to see the reactions of our customers entering the branch for the first time,” said Lakewood Ranch Branch Manager Lorraine Rodgers. “We take tremendous pride in our reputation for going the extra mile to serve customers and build lasting relationships, and this investment to make banking with us more convenient and satisfying than ever elevates us to unprecedented heights.”

The new location offers greater convenience and ease-of-use for consumers, particularly those along and east of Interstate 75.

“This is a booming, high-growth area with lots of new retail and residential development, and this new location gives us a highly visible presence in the center of the action,” said Dorothy Blasingim, consumer banking manager for Regions. “In similar markets, customers have really embraced this unique combination of in-person engagement and modern technology, and we could not be more pleased to be the first to bring it here.”

In-person services are available during regular branch hours, and customers may use the Make an Appointment feature on Regions.com ahead of their visit. Regions continues to recommend that customers follow CDC guidance and any additional guidance from local health authorities regarding safety precautions amid COVID-19.
