New Cards and Checks Help Dawg Fans Celebrate Back-to-Back Championships

Back-to-back college football championships inspire commemorative cards and checks.

By Mel Campbell | January 11, 2023

When a football player reaches the end zone, sometimes you hear people say they should act like they’ve been there before.

For Georgia Bulldog fans, they can definitely act like they’ve been there before.

The University of Georgia football team steamrolled their way through a perfect regular season and defeated playoff newcomer, TCU, in the championship game to capture the College Football Playoff National Championship honors for 2022. They also hoisted the trophy at the end of the 2021 season.

And once again, Regions Bank, through its longstanding relationship with the Southeastern Conference, is offering commemorative debit card for Regions checking accounts, Regions Now Card® and checks in honor of 2022 University of Georgia championship-winning football team.

“Back-to-back titles are hard to win, no matter the sport,” said Brian Jackson, head of Consumer Products and Origination Partnerships. “Last year’s win was historic, and this year’s showed the results of continued hard work and determination. Now, fans can join their team in the championship celebration with Regions’ new debit card and checks.”

Regions has been a sponsor of the SEC for more than two decades and is also a sponsor of the AP Top 25 College Football Ranking.

The University of Georgia National Championship debit cards are for sale at a cost of $10 each exclusively for Regions Bank customers in Regions branches, the Contact Center, and digitally via the Regions YourPix Studio® located at regions.com/yourpixstudio.

2022 University of Georgia National Championship checks ($32.50; discounts may not apply) are available via Regions branches, calling 1-800-Regions, and Regions Online Banking.

More information on this card and Regions’ line of college-affiliated cards – both SEC and for select HBCUs – can be found on regions.com.
