More Learning, Less Cost: Regions Bank Associates Can Now Earn Certificates, Tuition-Free

Tuition-free certificate programs support career development and upskilling to build a stronger workforce.

By Lara Warren | April 3, 2023

The benefits of being a Regions Bank associate keep getting better: new certificate programs and learning providers have been added to the roster of education offerings that associates can take advantage of — tuition-free.

Regions has worked with Guild to select certificate programs with tuition fully funded at high-quality learning providers to help our associates reskill and upskill in order to take the next step toward achieving their career goals. Certificates are available in areas such as data analytics; diversity, equity and inclusion; human resources; information technology; project management and more.

“The new certificate programs are made for working adults. All courses are offered online, and many of these programs can be completed in a matter of months,” said Seanna McGough, head of Learning and Development for Regions Bank. “These additional programs give our associates even more opportunities to define their futures while working for a company actively investing in their success.”

Late last year, Regions introduced a new education benefit for associates through Guild which allows them to earn a degree, tuition-free. Now associates can explore certificate programs as well.

Tuition-Free Education and Upskilling

Regions associates may complete undergraduate degrees as well as certificate programs and college prep courses tuition-free:

  • Associates can attend classes at more than 20 learning providers, choosing from over 120 programs in high-growth areas like business administration, business management, business leadership, data analytics, software engineering and more.
  • Learning providers include three HBCUs – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Paul Quinn College, and Spelman College – along with Louisiana State University, Ohio University, Purdue University Global, Southern New Hampshire University, University of Maryland Global Campus, University of Massachusetts Global and more.
  • Short-form certificates in business, software development, data analytics and more are now available to all associates.

Educational Supplies and Fees
Regions reimburses associates for required out-of-pocket education expenses, such as required textbooks and course fees, for programs within the Guild learning marketplace.

Coaching and Learning Resources
Guild’s trained education and career coaches are available to associates by phone or chat to provide support choosing a program, completing an application and staying successful in school. To learn more, visit regions.guildeducation.com.
