Meet Stacy Lardizabal: From Army Veteran to Regions Mortgage Loan Officer

Regions Bank is hiring our heroes to build the best team.

By Evelyn Mitchell | November 9, 2021

Meet Stacy Lardizabal, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Mortgage Loan Officer for Regions Bank.

After a successful 27-year career in the military, Lardizabal retired from the U.S. Army and sought a new career path combining the skills she had learned during her years of military service with her expertise in business and accounting. Upon retiring, Lardizabal participated in Hiring our Heroes, a national program connecting members of the military community with American businesses. Regions Bank is a corporate participant in the program, which provides a valuable opportunity to recruit top talent.

Since joining Regions, Lardizabal has made an impact for customers, translating her military skills and experience to the mortgage industry. She says of Regions, “They’re making sure that you are equipped with what you need to be successful. And they help guide and mentor.”

“The culture in Regions is very warm, it’s very open,” continued Lardizabal. “(Regions) wants to see you succeed in this business.”

Program Spotlight: Hiring our Heroes

Hiring Our Heroes is a national program led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Since 2011, Hiring our Heroes has connected the military community—service members, military spouses and veterans with American businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce. Hiring veterans as they transition from military service is a priority for Regions Bank and participation in Hiring our Heroes provides an opportunity to connect transitioning service members and their families with career opportunities.

Read more about how Regions is attracting top talent through the Hiring our Heroes program.
