LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Jan. 27, 2022 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Lisa Phillips has been elevated to serve as consumer banking executive for the company’s realigned Arkansas-Louisiana territory. In this role, Phillips and her teams will lead approximately 145 branches across Arkansas and Louisiana, as well as locations in Springfield, Missouri, and Texarkana, Texas.
Phillips, a 25-year financial services veteran, is relocating to Little Rock from the Tampa Bay region of Florida, where she served as a consumer banking manager with Regions for the last 15 years. Phillips began her Regions career as a Tampa branch manager in 2000. She is a five-time Regions Chairman’s Club Award recipient, an honor recognizing top bank performers.
“Every day, Regions Bank is committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations and serving as their premier source for financial advice, guidance, and solutions,” said Steve Nivet, Consumer Banking regional executive for Regions Bank. “Lisa consistently delivers exceptional service to our customers, and she coaches her teams to deliver that same level of quality and attention to detail. Arkansas, Louisiana, Southwest Missouri, and Texarkana are all important markets where we have a proud legacy of supporting our customers, and Lisa’s proven success in our Tampa Bay market makes her ideally suited for this leadership role.”
I look forward to building deep ties with the communities we serve as we reach even more of our neighbors and fulfill our mission to make life better for others.

To complement the bank’s unique approach of providing personalized financial advice and guidance from local branch team members, Regions has made significant technology investments throughout its local branch networks in recent years. Regions’ latest reimagined branches in Arkansas include its Little Rock Main and East Russellville and Conway locations. In addition to the branches’ local banking teams, the East Russellville and Conway locations feature Video Banking ATM service, offering customers the added benefit of being able to bank during evenings, weekends and even on holidays with customized service from Regions’ video bankers.
“Our modernized capabilities have completely elevated banking convenience to the next level,” said Nivet. “It’s about providing the latest technology resources offering customers the ability to conduct simple banking transactions when it works best for them. We’re empowering them to bank at the speed of life.”
Phillips succeeds Roger Weldon, who retired earlier this month following a 25-year career with Regions. Weldon most recently served as consumer banking executive for the bank’s previous Arkansas, North Texas and North Louisiana district.
“Leading our Arkansas-Louisiana branch-banking teams is truly an honor,” said Phillips. “I’m grateful for the foundation Roger established, as well as the dedication our branch teams have shown in working with our customers to help them identify and reach their unique financial goals. I look forward to building deep ties with the communities we serve as we reach even more of our neighbors and fulfill our mission to make life better for others.”
Before joining Regions, Phillips served for three years as a branch manager with Bank of America/Nations Bank. She attended Hillsboro Community College in Tampa. Phillips volunteered with Junior Achievement Tampa and taught financial education classes at Academy Prep Center of Tampa.
