Investing More in Houston: Regions Bank Unveils its Latest Branch of the Future

Modern location in Egypt-Magnolia area reflects the future of branch banking.

By Kim Borges | October 14, 2021

HOUSTON, Texas – Oct. 14, 2021 – Regions Bank on Thursday introduced its latest Houston-area investment with the unveiling of a location in the Egypt-Magnolia area that now serves as Regions’ most modern branch in all of Texas.

The new branch is at 6534 FM 1488 near the intersection of Honea Egypt Road. It complements Regions’ enhanced online and mobile banking services, and it replaces Regions’ older Magnolia branch that was at 18934 FM 1488. Situated in a high-growth area near office complexes, retail, and restaurants, the new location is both ultra modern – and highly focused on more personal service.

This latest branch investment by Regions follows the recent opening of Regions’ modern facility in The Woodlands earlier this year. In fact, nearly 30 Houston-area branches have been renovated or newly built by Regions as part of its long-term growth strategy for growth throughout  Houston. The bank plans to open an additional branch in Pearland by early 2022.

Regions’ latest branch investment is located near the corner of Farm to Market Road 1488 and Honea Egypt Road in Magnolia.

“Regions is committed to providing an unequalled banking experience for our Greater Houston neighbors,” said John Stacy, market executive for Regions Bank in Houston. “We’re doing that by creating the ability for our customers to bank how and when it works best for them. Regions’ digital options are always just a click or a tap away. And our reimagined branches, like this one, offer a custom-tailored approach to personal service to help people reach their short-term or long-term financial goals.”

The Egypt-Magnolia location’s modern design features are evident as soon as customers enter the door. Rather than waiting in a traditional teller line, customers are greeted personally by branch team members upon their arrival. Bankers are ready to assist with processing transactions or having more in-depth conversations about financial decisions and milestones.

The branch is the latest in the Greater Houston area to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through two Video Banking ATMs – one walk-up machine in the foyer and one drive-up machine – customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and even holidays. The foyer is accessible after-hours by scanning a debit or credit card with a magnetic stripe for entry.

The Egypt-Magnolia location also includes two drive-up DepositSmart ATMs. In addition to dispensing cash, Regions’ DepositSmart ATMs can accept deposits of cash or checks any time around the clock.

“The design of our Egypt-Magnolia location is so open and inviting,” said Regions Branch Manager Konrad Kasza. “It’s a complete departure from the traditional branch experience, one that we’re finding our customers really value and appreciate. The addition of our expanded technology is offering the opportunity to provide an even greater depth of service to our customers.”

The next-wave technology capabilities are well suited for this growing area.

“Our state-of-the-art banking locations align seamlessly with the residential and retail migration around Magnolia and The Woodlands,” said Michael Cofas, consumer banking manager for Regions in Houston. “Our presence here provides customers with expanded access to the elevated banking options they want, need and deserve.”

In-person services are available during regular branch hours, and customers may use
