HOUSTON, Texas – Oct. 15, 2020 – Regions Bank is again expanding its commitment to Southeast Texas with the announcement that an industry veteran will lead its Houston market, and the bank is opening seven additional branches in the area.
John Stacy will serve as Regions’ Houston-area market executive, leading teams that focus on delivering the company’s holistic approach to service, called Regions360. Stacy brought 30 years of experience to Regions when he joined the bank in 2018. Now, his insights and leadership will help Regions build on its local-market growth.
“People are the greatest differentiator in banking,” Stacy said. “The leadership at Regions is what inspired me to join this team. Our bankers are focused on building lasting client relationships that inspire loyalty and confidence. We have a great team in place that I look forward to growing in my new role.”
Prior to joining Regions, Stacy led the corporate banking team for BBVA Compass for eight years. He was also at MMB Group, LLC/Crosswell Realty Partners, LLC in commercial development and served as a regional manager with BNP Paribas for 14 years focusing on capital markets and asset quality.

Regions’ branch-banking presence in Houston also continues to grow with the opening of two branches at Brazos Town Center and Fairfield Place. The Brazos Town Center branch is at 23716 Southwest Freeway in Rosenberg. The Fairfield Place location is at 28350 Northwest Freeway in Cypress. The bank plans to open five additional locations within the next three months as well.
“With every investment we make in Southeast Texas, we are connecting more people with the superior service, local experience and convenience that Regions Bank is proud to offer,” said Earl Connell, consumer banking executive for Regions in Houston. “Our banking teams are pleased to welcome our Rosenberg and Cypress neighbors to our newest locations, and we look forward to reaching more communities with modern banking centers soon.”
The Brazos Town Center and Fairfield Place locations reflect Regions’ latest branch designs, which place a premium on customized service and convenient technology. The branches do not have a traditional teller line where customers wait to be called up for assistance; rather, when people walk in, they are greeted personally by a Regions banker who can deliver a full range of branch-banking services.

Beyond helping with transactions, through Regions360, the company’s bankers take the time to offer in-depth conversations with customers to help them develop roadmaps toward reaching their individual goals. The result is banking that helps people meet the financial needs of today – and tomorrow – based on customized guidance from local professionals.
Technology features include Regions Video Banking ATMs. Through these ATMs, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during an expanded set of hours.
Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time.
Regions Video Bankers are available from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT on weekdays. They are also available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT. Holiday hours are also 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT.
The new branches also offer DepositSmart ATM service, allowing customers to cash checks and make deposits around the clock.
“This enhanced technology complements the experience of our banking teams by providing quick, convenient options for transactions and on-the-go service,” said Connell. “Regions’ new branches are about helping more people conduct their banking business when, where and how they prefer.”
In addition to the Rosenberg and Cypress locations, Regions is currently building branches in Tomball, Conroe, Houston (two locations) and Missouri City. These locations are expected to open before the end of the year.
