In the Limelight: Taylor Denard

By Wayne Thompson | October 9, 2024

Who

Taylor Denard, Retail Integrity and Incentive Strategy and Staffing Manager in Birmingham, Alabama who is one of eight honors graduates in the 2024 Executive Banking School class of the Consumer Bankers Association.

What

In the CBA’s Executive Banking School at Furman University, students from the top 25 banks in the U.S. and abroad explore finance, risk and strategic leadership in an immersive, team-based learning experience. Over three years of study, through separate 10-day sessions on campus, students learn to run the entire consumer business of a bank — gaining the skills to lead effectively in a rapidly changing industry.

This year’s school was the largest on record, featuring more than 380 bankers from 33 banks. To date, more than 6,000 students have graduated from the program since its founding in 1952.

Denard, who joined Regions in 2011, was among 107 graduates and one of eight earning the “honors graduate” distinction for academic achievement. Five other Regions associates graduated, and nine other Regions bankers are currently undergoing training.

Why

“We’re committed to investing in associates like Taylor through CBA Executive Banking School and other experiences because we believe people are a competitive advantage and central to our mission to make life better and create shared value with our customers, communities and shareholders,” said Jason Epstein, head of Consumer Support and Performance Solutions for Regions’ Consumer Banking Group. “Through Taylor’s studies and the relationships built with faculty and students, he’s expanded his industry perspective and brought those experiences back to better align the functions he leads with the broader mission of Regions.

“Taylor is my second CBA Executive Banking School honors graduate. I’m proud of this accolade which shows his commitment to continuous learning — earned while leading a very important team at Regions.”

In His Own Words

“That starts with our Regions Greenprint® plan experience – where bankers help customers create personalized plans to achieve the milestones that matter most to them.

“I know the CBA’s Executive Banking school has made me a better leader and equipped me to help our business further advance our relationship-based, needs-based banking that puts customers at the center of everything we do.”
