Congratulations to Regions Bank’s Katie Rymer for being named a Junior Achievement Volunteer of the Year.
Who:
Katie Rymer, Relationship Banker Team Lead at the Northwest Cleveland branch in Cleveland, Tennessee
What:
The Junior Achievement Volunteer of the Year award is presented to an individual with exceptional service and dedication to local students. With this award, JA honors community partners who help achieve its mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
Why:
Rymer spent over 30 hours teaching financial education to more than 129 elementary, middle and high school students in three counties this year.
In her own words:
“When I go into a classroom as a banker, a mom, and a teacher, I get to interact with children and teach them about real life skills that they will use as they get older and start to think about career paths and financial decisions they will face. If you have ever considered volunteering in a classroom for JA, do it! You will leave with a feeling of accomplishment and sense of purpose. With the new school year having just begun, we will need volunteers soon.”
