Basketball background helps Della Pitts make life better for customers, colleagues and her community.

Della Pitts is a game changer. Since she moved to Florida from the Bahamas as a young girl, the former high school and college basketball player has scored winning shots to make life better for herself, her customers, colleagues and community.

Della manages the Overtown and Edison branches in Miami and is known as a dedicated mentor to the associates on her team. Della is determined to see the underserved communities surrounding her branches thrive, as well. She helps customers clean up their credit to realize their financial goals, become homeowners and even grow their businesses.

Della also helps troubled young girls clean up their lives for a chance at a successful future. She is a volunteer for Girl Power, a nonprofit organization started by the World Literacy Crusade of Florida. Girl Power promotes positive behavior, enhances social skills and improves academic performance in at-risk girls ages 11-17. Regions is donating $1,000 to Girl Power in Della’s honor.

Della plays an active role in several other community organizations. She serves as a financial advisor at the Lotus House, Miami Rescue Mission and The Advisory Committee of Liberty City (TACOLCY). She also supports Hope and Dreamers, Save Our Daughters, the Overtown Youth Center, Urgent, Inc. and Our Kids.
