EnerBank Earns Recognition as Top Place to Work

The Salt Lake Tribune recently named EnerBank USA a Top Place to Work for 2021, which adds to Regions’ recognition as a Gallup Exceptional Workplace this year.

By Loren Spiller | November 23, 2021

EnerBank and Regions have something important in common – that probably doesn’t come as a surprise to those who work for either group. Both companies focus on making life better for associates, and the result is that both are considered top places to work.

EnerBank, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, was recently awarded a Top Workplace for 2021 honor by the Salt Lake Tribune. This award recognizes workplaces based solely on feedback from associates, gathered through an anonymous third-party survey measuring culture drivers critical to the success of any organization – such as alignment, execution, connection and more.

For the past seven years Regions has earned Gallup’s Exceptional Workplace recognition, which is Gallup’s highest honor recognizing the most engaged workplace cultures world-wide. The recent EnerBank award only complements Regions’ focus on making life better for customers and communities, as well as associates and their families.

“In a period of rapid growth and unprecedented adaptability due to COVID-19, we’ve relied on our company culture in new ways, which played a key role in aligning with Regions,” said EnerBank Consumer Home Improvement Lending Head Charlie Knadler. “We are honored to be recognized as a top workplace and proud of the culture we have built that helped us earn it.”

Knadler points to how many of EnerBank’s current leaders started in entry-level positions with the company and have grown into management roles with increasing responsibility. “I’m proud of the way we have helped many of our teammates further their education and gain the skills they need to be successful. I’m also proud Regions supports this same focus on investing in our team and supporting individual development goals so our associates can grow personally and professionally,” he said.

EnerBank is one of the country’s largest specialized home improvement lenders, supporting homeowners and contractors with innovative products and digital financing solutions, and recently became part of the Regions family. The acquisition fits Regions’ focus on and investments in mortgage and home equity lending services.

Even before the acquisition, EnerBank provided associates with competitive pay, tuition reimbursement and other comprehensive benefits, including paid parental leave, associate training and career growth opportunities – similar to Regions’ benefits and associate development offerings.

“We are proud of EnerBank’s recognition as a top workplace, but this doesn’t come as a surprise to us,” said Scott Peters, head of Regions’ Consumer Banking Group. “EnerBank was such a strong addition to the Regions team earlier this year because we identified early on that the company’s values aligned with ours in ways that matter most for our associates and customers. We are proud of the combined culture we continue to build.”
