A Celebration One Year in the Making: Regions Bank Cuts the Ribbon on Modern Anson Branch, Celebrates Whitestown First Responders

Bank’s first Boone County branch provides a combination of personalized service plus enhanced technology.

By Kim Borges | June 17, 2021

WHITESTOWN, Ind. – June 17, 2021 – Regions Bank, joined by leaders from the town of Whitestown and the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, on Thursday formally cut the ribbon for the bank’s modern Anson Branch following a week of community events in Boone County.

Grand opening festivities celebrating Regions’ first Boone County location, which opened in August of 2020, were originally planned for last fall but were postponed due to the pandemic. The delayed event offered an opportunity to recognize Witham Hospital emergency room team members and first responders from the Whitestown Police and Fire Departments for their extra efforts during COVID-19.

Anson Whitestown Ribbon Cutting

“The response we’ve received from the Whitestown community has been incredibly supportive,” said Erik Miner, market executive for Regions in Central Indiana. “As we approach the one-year anniversary of opening the Anson branch, our Regions team wanted to thank the community for warmly welcoming us. But, more importantly, we wanted to extend our appreciation to the first responders who are heroes every day and have especially gone above and beyond during the past year.”

We’re grateful to be part of this vibrant and growing community.
Travis Toll, consumer banking manager

The bank delivered 85 box lunches to Witham Hospital Emergency Room team members and Anson Police and Fire Department personnel June 10 to honor those first responders. Regions’ LifeGreen custom cruiser bicycle also rolled into Boone County June 9 and 10, making stops at Lions Park in Zionsville and at the Whitestown Farmers Market to provide free giveaways and offer opportunities for photos.

Whitestown Town Council President Clinton Bohm notes those activities are just the latest the bank has conducted since settling into Boone County. “I appreciate the way Regions Bank has engaged in our community throughout the past year,” said Bohm. “We are pleased that they chose to locate in Whitestown and look forward to their continued success.”

Regions’ branch is part of the Mills Station at Anson development at the corner of Whitestown Parkway and Heartland Drive. The bank’s arrival to Whitestown adds to the area’s significant commercial growth in recent years.

“The Boone County Chamber is excited to welcome Regions to the Town of Whitestown and the Boone County community,” said Diane Schultz, executive director of the Boone County Chamber. “Their commitment to being an active community partner, combined with their focus on meeting the financial needs and goals of residents, entrepreneurs and local businesses, will positively impact the Boone County region.”

The Anson location features a modern look designed with enhanced customer service in mind.

Rather than a traditional teller line, customers are personally greeted by a Region banking team member upon their arrival ready to assist with serving their financial needs.

“Our customers value being able to sit down with a banker to have in-depth conversations about major life decisions and their long-term financial goals,” said Travis Toll, consumer banking manager. “But they also value the ability to quickly conduct banking transactions during the evening, on weekends and even on holidays. Anson provides them with both options.”

That enhanced technology option at Anson is possible thanks to Regions Video Banking ATMs. Customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during an expanded set of hours. Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time. The Anson branch has one Video Banking ATM in the drive-through and one in the foyer. The foyer is accessible after-hours by scanning a debit or credit card with a magnetic stripe for entry.

Video Bankers are available on weekdays from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. ET. They are also available on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET and Sundays from noon – 6 p.m. ET. Holidays hours are also from noon until 6 ET.

The branch also features DepositSmart ATM service. In addition to dispensing cash, DepositSmart ATMs can cash checks – or accept deposits of cash or checks – at any time, day or night.

“Our Anson team looks forward to assisting more of our neighbors with their banking needs as we continue to settle into Whitestown,” said Toll. “We’re grateful to be part of this vibrant and growing community.”
