The topic of fertility and trying to build a family is a very personal issue and, for many, starting a family can be an exhausting, heartbreaking and expensive journey. Knowing this, Regions offers several benefits that can help associates facing these issues. It’s just another way we keep our associates’ wellbeing in mind with a variety of benefits and programs offered to associates.

In 2023 we introduced you to Alana, an associate who turned to Regions’ family-building benefits to support her family building journey. Today she is the proud mother of a 14-month-old son, Jonathan Beau, called JonBeau. We recently spoke with Alana about JonBeau and her journey to motherhood.
Q: JonBeau has entered toddlerhood! What’s he up to?
Alana: JonBeau is a happy, very silly toddler. He loves to “drive” cars around on the floor — he makes the “vroom” noise! He also loves to play musical instruments, splash around in water, and follow his older cousins around. His nickname is Jonado — like tornado — because he can run through the house and cause a lot of destruction in a very short period of time!

Q: How did Regions’ family building benefits help you on your journey to parenthood?
Alana: Without the benefits that Regions provided, I would have never been able to fulfill my dream of motherhood. I was able to track my health using the Ovia apps and gain peace of mind during a very emotional process. The providers I had access to as a WIN participant were phenomenal and took such wonderful care of me throughout my entire fertility journey. I really can’t say enough good things about my experience.
The benefits available through Ovia and WIN allowed me to pursue the best treatment for my individual situation without the pressure of financial burden that these treatments usually entail. I was able to focus on my health and the health of my baby.
There were a few times that I had concerns during my early stages of pregnancy, and I was able to reach out to my dedicated nurse, Sandy (through the Baby Yourself prenatal program). She was always quick to respond with the information I needed and put my mind at ease.
Q: What advice would you give to an associate on their own family building journey?
Alana: Take advantage of all of the great resources available to you through Regions. There are a lot of logistics involved in family planning, and these additional benefits can alleviate stress, help you find the right providers, and look at your health in a more wholistic perspective.
