Our all-time favorite series is back with a vengeance. But, before you proceed, please be aware of this warning:
The following is good for your mental health.
Now, prepare to be transported away from the chaos of the world for a few hours. Because these Good Pets deliver a state of transcendent goodness you won’t find anywhere else.
We’ve got Buffy, a Labradoodle from Wisconsin, whose eyes will melt your heart.
Then there’s a Laurent, whose Texas two-step smile will take your breath away.
In fact, from Utah to Florida, and all parts in between, we’ve got you covered.
And the best news of all? We’re just getting started. We asked and you responded in record fashion, so getting to all of this four-legged goodness is going to take a while.
But this is a great first start. Just don’t start looking at these galleries until you’re ready to commit. Good Pets isn’t for multi-taskers. No, it’s a full-immersion experience.
What are you waiting for?

Ziggy / Human: Chris Goldschmidt / Birmingham, Alabama / Here’s our Ziggy. She’s especially festive around the holidays.

Indy / Human: Shannon Rodgers / Birmingham Alabama / Indy, our 2-year-old Mini American Shepard, loves being outdoors & enjoyed his first time in the snow this past January.

Gorgo, Luna and Teeni / Human: Jessica Gumz / Indianapolis, Indiana / Gorgo (left) kicks out both his back legs when you rub his inner thigh. He’s done this since he was a puppy. Luna (middle) will walk backwards to sit her bottom on a rug or mat without looking. We call her “dump truck.” Teeni yawns every time she picks up a toy .

Nicko / Human: : Randy Wallace / Iron Station, North Carolina / Nicko is a Great Pyrenees German Shepard/Husky Mix. He is special because he is a great outdoors companion and loves going on hikes and backpacking with my family. This is him hiking on the Appalachian Trail near Mt. Rogers, Virginia, on a winter camping trip.

Ralph, Oakley, Bella and Chewie / Human: Kristi Parker / Nashville, Tennessee / Our sweet security detail – one guard and three pushovers.

Theodore Bear / Human: Autumn Massey-Sims / Birmingham, Alabama / Theodore (Teddy) Bear is very confused at his first snow day this year and does not understand why mom and dad have placed him on the fluffy white stuff. Beary is incredibly loyal, intelligent and friendly. He never meets a stranger and everyone who meets him falls in love.

Riley / Human: Jill McKenna / Indianapolis, Indiana / Meet Riley! (but we should have named her Mischief!). Riley is a great cuddler, when she’s not running around the house at full speed with a toy, a ball or one of my shoes! There is a lot of energy packed into her little 8-pound body.

Samson / Human: Alan Harper / Fairview Heights, Illinois / This is my buddy Samson. He will play outside in any weather. Swimming is probably his favorite thing, along with hiking.

Gabbie / Human: Alicia Porter / Panama City Beach, Florida / Gabbie was one of the original Good Pets and now, at 17, she still has what it takes to be a Doing More Today Good Pet! And she’s still cheering on the Auburn Tigers!

Koda / Human: Lauren Wilson / Texas / We rescued him in September of 2022. He is a purebred Akita and is the most loyal dog we have ever had. He’s very sweet and while he can look intimidating, at his core he’s a big softy! He can also be a bit of a mama’s boy. He doesn’t bark much (unless it’s at the dog next door), but he “talks” all the time! He’s the best dog and we are lucky to have him!

Penny / Human: Gregory Beaver / Hot Springs, Arkansas / It doesn’t snow much in Arkansas, but when it did Penny certainly enjoyed it.

Scooby / Human: Devin Henson / Maumelle, Arkansas / Scooby is about to be 10 years old and has always loved the snow, even though he usually drags his long ears. The best part about snow days is when he comes inside to warm up in front of “his” fireplace.

Frida Catlo / Human: Michelle Hale / Birmingham Alabama / This is Frida Catlo, a free spirit who is constantly skeptical about the angles we use to capture her brilliance in photographs. Whenever I’m remote, she wakes from her restitutive slumber to provide her input in the form of tail swishes in front of the camera, and of course, the occasional emphatic meow.

Billy and Scooter / Human: Leslie Crowe / Louisiana / Billy and Scooter are rescues, and we were told they were a German Shepard Mix and German Shepard. Turns out, they are both 50 percent husky, and absolutely LOVED running around in the Louisiana show in January!

Bear and Mya / Human: Kimberly Crisman / Dickson, Tennessee / Bear looks just like a Teddy bear and loves the snow. He is just the sweetest dog with the best personality and gentle soul. Betty and Roxie / Human: Lenzy Tipton / Birmingham, Alabama / Betty (named after Betty White) and Roxie (who our son officially named “Rockjaw” before fortunately agreeing to a nickname) are our 3-year-old forever puppies who became the little rays of sunshine we needed after losing our two older dogs. They love to compete to see who can get the most attention and they’re a wonderful security system, even if they’re just alerting you to the wind blowing.

Blessing / Human: Tiffany Watson / Louisiana / She is 7 years old and doesn’t mind letting you know it’s her world. And we should be glad to be living in it.

Buzz, Bear and Salami / Human: Heid Leonard / Indianapolis, Indiana / Buzz is in the background; he is tolerant of our furry kitty, but Bear and Salami the kitten are best friends - when it’s cold outside this is how they spend their afternoons. You can also find them every morning and evening wrestling and playing chase on our first floor.

And Charlie is just happy to be following around Lucy trying to get her to play with him. The one thing they have in common is their love of cuddling and being near people.

Chop / Human: Caryn Battiste / Birmingham, Alabama / Chop, aka Chopstick, is the newest addition to our family. He is a 4-month-old puppy Rottweiler who is very playful, active and curious. Chop is supper friendly and loving and his little face will always bring a smile to your face. Bath time is his favorite time. He is a goofy boy who loves eating pig ears, watching football with his daddy, and licking the dirty dishes whilst his mommy is trying to load the dishwasher. He is also a lover of all things Mardi Gras. WHO DAT?!?

Houdini / Human: Flo Procino / Crestview, Florida / Houdini found his way to us three days before New Year’s Day. He had a reputation for escaping his old owner. When we found him roaming around the neighborhood, I carried him in my arms for two hours going door to door to find his home. When we found his previous owner, he said he had been trying to rehome him and had no luck. All he wants is cuddles and walks. We knew immediately that he belonged with us, and he hasn’t left us since!

The funny thing is that Luz has been like a mother to Bright since she was a baby, Luz is aware of whether Bright is going to her box or if she is eating or if she is playing. Gigi / Human: Malou Swindall / Birmingham, Alabama / Meet Gigi, our 5-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer. She’s a natural hunting dog – loves to point and chase at birds and squirrels. Funny enough, little kids often think she's a Dalmatian because of her black spots.

Gunner and Nala / Human: Rachel Scheg / Chelsea, Alabama / Gunner (left) and Nala are two of our four French Bulldogs. They love to snore away at my feet while I work, but the second I move they are following me every step of the way! Cat-ching Up with Cash:
Lucky feline now living the best of his nine lives. Fire departments are known for rescuing cats out of trees. Liberating them from inside an automated teller machine (ATM)? Not so much.
But that’s precisely what happened in July 2022 when a kitten was pulled from the ATM at Regions Bank’s Fort Smith Main branch in Arkansas. Weighing in at less than a pound, “Cash” soon became the cat’s meow around town as he was fostered by Fort Smith Animal Haven board member Brenda Altman.
Tipping the scales at 9 pounds today, Cash was adopted by his fur-ever family soon after he was rescued.
“Cash is a lovable and shy fellow,” said Altman. “And he is very loved.”
