Taking the Leap

Caroline Vérot Moore shares the importance of courage, growth and purpose throughout her career.

By Kim Borges | June 18, 2026

As a child, she dreamed of being a United Nations interpreter.

But business school translated Caroline Vérot Moore’s ambitions into something else entirely: a 25-plus year banking career.

Entering the financial services field is just one leap of faith Regions Bank’s Houston market president and Commercial Banking leader has made with no regrets.

The more I stayed in banking, the longer I thought that this is where I like to be and this is where I can add value to the clients we serve and our team members.
Caroline Vérot Moore, Commercial Banking Leader

In a recent conversation with the Houston Business Journal, Vérot Moore shared professional and personal insights, including:

  • Her experience living and working overseas
  • Why being part of clients’ success and mentoring the next generation of bankers motivates her
  • The value of networking
  • The most important lesson she’s learned throughout her career

Through it all, one theme stands out – be courageous.

“Recognize opportunities when they come,” Vérot Moore said. “Be bold and don’t be afraid of taking that leap of faith. Getting outside of your comfort zone is where you grow the most.”
