Steady Growth in Atlanta: Regions Bank Opens Modern Alpharetta Branch

Grand opening activities on Dec. 6 will salute health care heroes, highlight community partnerships.

By Veleka Finch | December 5, 2022

ATLANTA, Ga. – Dec. 2 – Regions Bank is set to mark a year of solid expansion across the Atlanta metro with the grand opening of its Avalon Crossing branch in Alpharetta. The facility brings the bank’s new Atlanta-area investments to five this year, including locations at Hammond’s Crossing, Sandy Springs, Loganville, and Marietta.

The Avalon Crossing branch is at the corner of Old Milton Parkway and Haynes Bridge Road in the Alpharetta Crossing Shopping Center, across from Avalon and the Downtown Alpharetta district. On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the bank will join the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony that will include special presentations to nonprofits Women are Dreamers Too and Mary Hall Freedom Village. Afterward, Regions associates will deliver 250 lunches to health care workers at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.

The Avalon Crossing grand opening activities will demonstrate Regions’ commitment to serving banking needs while building inclusive prosperity in the community.

“Regions Bank has identified Atlanta as a key growth market for our company – to serve more customers while deepening our community engagement,” said Bill Linginfelter, Metro Atlanta market executive for Regions Bank.

“With the new Avalon Crossing branch, the bank has now opened the doors on 20 modernized locations throughout Metro Atlanta since 2018, using our model that combines personalized service from highly talented local bankers with leading-edge technology,” Linginfelter added. “It shows our commitment to making banking easier for customers who expect the convenience of banking wherever they live, work, and do business.”

Branch Manager Sheetal Dalal says the new facility has been a welcome addition to the community.

“Many customers have told us how pleased they are to see us here,” said Dalal. “Before we opened the doors at Avalon Crossing, the nearest Regions branch was about six miles away. We’re happy to be the choice for our Alpharetta neighbors who appreciate not having to travel far to experience Regions’ modern way of banking.”

Customers become acquainted with the Regions brand of banking as soon as they enter the Avalon Crossing branch. There is no waiting in a traditional teller line. Instead, people are greeted personally by a Regions banker who listens to their needs and connects them with colleagues who can assist with everything from basic transactions to offering in-depth conversations to help assess their financial health. This innovative approach to personal service is powered by a solution called Regions Greenprint®.

Through Greenprint conversations, Regions bankers help individual and small-business customers create personalized plans that offer recommended next steps to reach their financial goals. In addition to Greenprint, technology at the branch includes a walk-up and a drive-thru DepositSmart ATM. Each machine can accept deposits of cash or checks at any time, day or night – in addition to cashing checks for Regions customers on the spot.

“Our goal at Regions is for customers to experience the bank of the future – today,” said Mia Hubbard, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions in Georgia. “Our investments in advanced digital technologies have placed the power of the bank right inside customers’ hands. Combining those technologies with the personalized services offered at local branches is our formula for satisfying the holistic banking needs of our customers in the Atlanta metro and beyond.”
