Regions Bank is growing thanks in part to the continued integration of Sabal Capital Partners, bringing integrated business loan programs and technology into the fold. The business will be known as Regions Real Estate Capital Markets.
The Sabal Capital Partners business was originally acquired in December 2021 and brings to Regions expanded specialty capabilities through an experienced team.
“Sabal Capital Partners has been an integral part of the Regions Real Estate Capital Markets team since Regions acquired Sabal,” said Troy Marek, head of Real Estate Capital Markets for Regions Bank. “The name change for Sabal Capital Partners reflects the continued integration of Sabal’s lending business into the Regions business and family of offerings.”
After a year of successfully forging new and deeper client relationships, Marek said, “Regions is poised to build even greater success moving forward.”
Regions Real Estate Capital Markets is a diversified multifamily and commercial real estate lender with a comprehensive suite of both agency and non-agency finance solutions.

“Regions’ acquisition of Sabal Capital Partners has been deeply beneficial for both companies as we leverage the unique skills and experience of dedicated teams to connect clients with a broader range of solutions,” Marek concluded. “The teamwork-based culture of both organizations has supported a smooth integration, while also enabling Regions to connect Sabal Capital Partners clients with additional services and solutions powered by teams throughout our bank.
