Regions Receives National Award for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility

Regions was one of 23 financial services companies recognized for dedication to improving communities through charitable donations

Regions received the Financial Service Roundtable (FSR) 2014 Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership Award Wednesday night at a reception on Capitol Hill. Regions was one of 23 financial services companies recognized for dedication to improving communities through charitable donations, financial education and volunteerism.

“In 2014, Regions associates delivered more than 58,000 financial education presentations and provided nearly 19,000 volunteer hours teaching financial education,” said Jon Davies, Regions Compliance Executive — Community Affairs and Contributions. “The bank also made significant monetary contributions to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations that provide much-needed community development services to low- and moderate-income people in the areas where we operate.

“Receiving the Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership Award from the Financial Services Roundtable is a welcome reminder that our ongoing engagement in the communities where we live and work has a positive effect on people, on neighborhoods, and on local economies,” Davies added.

The FSR includes the leading banking, insurance, asset management, finance and credit card companies in America. The nonprofit advocacy group informs its members on policy and regulatory matters that impact their business. Regions is a long-standing FSR member.
