Awards season is in full swing. While celebrities hit the red carpet, our Regions stars are also stepping into the spotlight. Recognized for outstanding commitment to supporting nonprofits and fostering community development, Regions Bank has earned two notable honors in Southwest Florida: the ENPY’s Business Partner of the Year Award and the James E. Duffy Friend of Literacy Award.
The Excellence in Nonprofit Performance Yearly (ENPY) awards ceremony, hosted by The Community Foundation in Cape Coral, celebrates organizations making a significant impact on Southwest Florida. Regions Bank’s exceptional dedication to both for-profit and nonprofit initiatives, organizers said, earned the Business Partner of the Year Award.
I am so proud of the recognition the Regions Bank Southwest Florida markets have received for consistently weaving social responsibility into the fabric of business, forging strategic partnerships and championing the community.
Earnest Wilks, market executive for Regions Bank in Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers and surrounding areas
The ENPY awards aim to honor those who are making a positive impact in the community, acknowledging the often-unrecognized efforts of Southwest Florida nonprofits and leaders.
“Regions’ philanthropic efforts and strategic community partnerships serve a pivotal role in advancing local needs, empowering nonprofits and fostering more inclusive prosperity,” said Michael Chatman, CEO of The Community Foundation. “Regions’ unwavering support creates a positive ripple effect, enhancing opportunities for our community.”
Additionally, The Literacy Council of Sarasota (LCS) selected Regions Bank as the recipient of the James E. Duffy Friend of Literacy Award. Regions Bank is being acknowledged for its significant interest and commitment to LCS and its programs, contributing not only through financial support but also by actively participating in educational initiatives.
Regions’ commitment to financial literacy programs and supporting our Healthcare and Career Pathways initiatives empowers learners to build brighter futures and contribute meaningfully to our community.
Tom Melville, Executive Director of The Literacy Council of Sarasota
The collaboration with LCS goes beyond financial support. It’s a hands-on dedication to empowering people and strengthening the area’s foundation.
“The Literacy Council of Sarasota has a mission to improve literacy for adults in Sarasota County through personalized, needs-based tutoring and small-group instruction,” said Jeanne Armour, who is not only Vice President of Mortgage Production for Regions Bank but is also Board President of LCS. “Together, we can continue to make a real difference.”
Further up the Sunshine State, the spotlight is also shining on Alexandrea Godfrey, Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor for Regions Bank in Pensacola. She received the 2024 Woman of The Year Award in the category of Loan Officer by Scarlett Magazine. Readers chose her based on her expertise and commitment not only as a loan officer, but private wealth advisor.
I am thankful for being recognized with this honor, but the greatest reward is having the ability to leverage financial experience and local-market knowledge in ways that truly benefit clients. Regions is made stronger by a culture of teamwork and community involvement.
Alexandrea Godfrey, Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor for Regions Bank in Pensacola
Congratulations to all!
