Regions Builds on Memphis Investments with Reimagined Branch at 6200 Poplar

Branch overhaul incorporates Regions’ latest designs into company’s West Tennessee headquarters.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – April 3, 2017 – Regions Bank on Monday announced its latest investment in the Memphis area by formally unveiling the company’s reimagined branch at Regions’ West Tennessee headquarters.

The branch at 6200 Poplar Avenue in East Memphis is the latest location to reflect the new design and innovations Regions developed to better serve today’s customers.

The new format, which is now open to customers, blends the best in personal service with the latest in technology, empowering more people to bank when, where and how they want.

Universal Banking stations are designed to foster discussions between local bankers and customers. Adjacent meeting rooms are available for more in-depth financial discussions.

“This design provides greater convenience and more value for the customers we serve,” said David May, West Tennessee President for Regions Bank. “We are committed to relationship banking, where were have in-depth conversations with customers and offer personalized advice, guidance and education to help them succeed financially. This branch helps us deliver that service in a more effective and meaningful way.”

“Memphis is one of Regions’ core markets, and we are committed to building on our local investments to reach more people with convenient financial services,” added Michael Pardue, West Tennessee Consumer Banking Executive for Regions. “This location is the latest example of that commitment. And we look forward to building on our progress in the future.”

The open design of the branch does not include a traditional teller line. Instead, customers are welcomed directly by Regions’ Universal Bankers.

Universal Bankers are local financial professionals who meet a wide range of branch-banking needs. If a customer is looking to open an account or conduct a transaction, a Universal Banker can help. However, if a customer is also looking for a more in-depth conversation about creating a savings plan, developing a personal budget or building a roadmap to reach future goals, a Universal Banker can meet those needs as well.

The branch also offers Regions Video Banking in its lobby, along with Video Banking ATMs in the drive-through facility adjacent to the headquarters building.

Video Banking ATMs connect customers with an experienced Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers speak directly with customers about their banking needs and can process most teller transactions while also helping people with account maintenance and general inquiries.

Regions Video Bankers offer live, personalized service through two-way video during extended hours on weekdays, as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Regions Video Bankers are available during extended hours on weekdays (7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT). They are also available on Saturdays (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Sundays (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and most holidays.

Regions also offers DepositSmart ATM service in the drive-through facility. In addition to dispensing cash, Regions DepositSmart ATMs can accept deposits and cash checks for customers at any time.

“Regions is consistently updating services and technology to provide more convenient access to banking well beyond traditional banking hours,” May added. “The result is what we are offering at 6200 Poplar. It’s a branch-banking experience that is tailored to meet more customers’ needs.”

The 6200 Poplar facility joins Regions’ 88 Union branch in downtown Memphis and Regions’ Greenline branch in Germantown in offering the new branch design. Further, the Regions branch at 1171 Ridgeway Road in Memphis offers Regions Video Banking in addition to traditional branch-banking services.
