Regions Bank Opens Renovated Westside Clarksdale Branch

Modernized location combines personal service with more convenient technology.

By Jennifer Elmore | August 12, 2020

CLARKSDALE, Miss. – Aug. 13, 2020 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced the opening of its newly renovated Westside Clarksdale branch, a modern facility that combines personal service from local bankers with greater convenience and updated technology.

The branch is at the corner of Anderson Boulevard and South State Street. Renovations began last fall to transform the branch into the most state-of-the-art Regions location in the Mississippi Delta. While construction was underway, customers were served in a modular branch facility on-site.

“Regions Bank is committed to the Delta, and we’re offering a banking experience that combines the best in local, personalized service with the convenience of technology that makes banking easier and more accessible to our customers,” said Keith Mitchell, North Mississippi market executive for Regions Bank. “Beyond helping with routine transactions, our team also takes the time to understand the unique financial goals of our neighbors and local businesses. We’re ready to consult with you individually and help you develop a roadmap toward reaching those goals.”

In-branch services are currently offered by appointment only, similar to all Regions branches throughout the bank’s footprint, to help protect the health and well-being of customers and associates during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through one-on-one consultations, the Clarksdale branch team offers advice, guidance and education in a custom-tailored manner.

We know our customers; we know our community. We are excited to use our knowledge and experience to help both grow and prosper.

In addition, the branch becomes the first Regions location in the Delta to offer Regions Video Banking ATM service. At the branch’s two Video Banking ATMs, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during expanded hours.

Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time. They are available from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT on weekdays. They are also available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and all holidays.

The Clarksdale location also features two Regions DepositSmart ATMs. Through the DepositSmart machines, customers can use the ATMs to not only withdraw cash – but also make deposits of cash or checks at any time, around the clock.

The branch now offers the convenience of two Video Banking ATMs, including one in the drive-through. Regions Video Bankers offer personal service well into the evening and during weekends and holidays.

“Our enhanced technology offers major benefits for customers, especially during this time of social distancing,” said Debbie Nail, consumer banking manager for Regions. “We want our customers to know they can count on us to deliver the services and solutions they need, when they need them.”

Branch Manager Michele Fondren said the renovation is the latest example of Regions’ commitment to Clarksdale. In 2019, Regions spotlighted Clarksdale as part of its Good Towns series of community profiles. These profiles recognize the character, history, people and unique attractions that make a town special.

“Our branch associates are proud to be part of another chapter in Regions’ history in Clarksdale,” Fondren said. “We know our customers; we know our community. We are excited to use our knowledge and experience to help both grow and prosper.”
