Regions Bank Names Stephanie Perryman as Central Texas Market Executive

Austin native heads home to lead Regions’ local-market community engagement and commercial banking services.

By Kim Borges | January 14, 2021

AUSTIN, Texas – Jan. 14, 2021 – Regions Bank on Thursday named Austin native Stephanie Perryman as market executive and commercial banking leader for Central Texas. In this role, Perryman will lead teams serving the bank’s large business clients in Austin and San Antonio while also guiding community engagement throughout the area.

Perryman returns to Regions after serving as treasury vice president with IDEA Public Schools, one of the nation’s fastest-growing public charter school networks. Previously, she spent six years with Regions in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. There, she served the bank’s government and institutional banking clients. Her experience also includes commercial and credit roles with Prosperity Bank, as well as managing distinguished events for the American Cancer Society.

Perryman’s return to her hometown of Austin offers an opportunity to serve the people, businesses and nonprofits of Central Texas while helping them achieve their unique goals. It’s an opportunity she’s eager to tackle.

“As a fourth-generation Austinite, my roots run very deep,” said Perryman. “I’m pleased to be back home reconnecting with people I’ve known for years. A lot of people have come here. But it’s getting hard to find people who are from here. At Regions, we have the local experience to serve people and businesses in a customized manner – while also offering the size and scale of a bank that can meet a wide range of needs for our clients.”

John Turner, President and CEO of Regions Financial Corp., says Perryman’s local connections and leadership qualities made her the perfect fit for the market executive role.

“The core of our business is about building trust and fostering deep relationships with the clients and communities we serve,” said Turner. “Stephanie is uniquely qualified to understand the needs and the opportunities affecting people and businesses in Central Texas, and she is a leader who shares in our vision of creating more inclusive growth and prosperity in Austin and beyond. Stephanie brings valuable insights and energy to everything she does. She’s a dynamic leader who will make a clear impact for our Central Texas communities.”

In addition to leading the commercial banking team, Perryman will partner with fellow business group leaders to deliver Regions360®, the bank’s holistic approach to serving clients.

Through Regions360, the company’s bankers have in-depth conversations with customers to help them create a unique roadmap toward reaching their financial goals. Perryman noted Regions360 as a factor that differentiates the bank.

“Our clients count on us to provide valuable financial advice and guidance for all aspects of their lives,” said Perryman. “Our banking teams are focused on delivering personalized service through the local relationships we’ve built; but we also have the ability and resources to offer innovative solutions for all of our business clients, including those in specialized industries such as technology and manufacturing.”

Perryman’s commitment to superior client service has earned her recognition as a two-time Regions Chairman’s Club Award recipient, an honor recognizing the company’s top 10% of performers. She was also named the Dallas-Fort Worth Most Valued Partner by her bank peers.

Her commitment to client service is equaled by her commitment to community support. As market executive, Perryman will work with Regions’ Community Affairs team and other colleagues to identify important ways for the bank to give back. Key priorities for community engagement at Regions include supporting financial wellness, education and workforce readiness, and economic and community development.

She is a leader who shares in our vision of creating more inclusive growth and prosperity in Austin and beyond.

Perryman’s own community involvement includes memberships in the Executive Council for Texas Women in Public Finance and the Fort Worth Junior League. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and graduated with honors from Texas Tech University. Perryman also obtained her Certified Treasury Professional designation and completed the Vanderbilt Client Advisory Program and Massachusetts Institute of Technology CFO Accelerator Program.

“We have great teams in place throughout Central Texas who are committed to making life better for our clients,” said Perryman. “I look forward to leading them, reaching and serving new clients and growing our community engagement through this new role.”
