PENSACOLA, Fla. – July 29, 2025 – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced John Gormley has joined the company and will serve as Market Executive and Commercial Banking Leader in Pensacola and surrounding communities.

Gormley has nearly three decades of experience meeting the complex financial needs of municipalities and businesses in the area. Specializing in healthcare organizations, real estate firms, and automotive clients, Gormley has a proven record of delivering thoughtful financial solutions in collaboration with colleagues from multiple banking specialties. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at PNC Bank (previously BBVA Compass), where he led commercial and governmental banking relationships across North Florida and South Alabama. Gormley began his banking career in 2001 with SunTrust Bank in Pensacola.

“John is a leader who understands the needs of business owners, clients, and communities along the Gulf Coast,” said John Turner, Chairman, President and CEO of Regions Financial Corp. “His expertise will help Regions further reinforce its commitment to this growing area. With his local knowledge and long-standing community relationships, he is uniquely equipped to support our customers’ financial goals and offer personalized Regions services to address their needs.”

As Market Executive leading Regions’ local operations, Gormley will guide bankers as they deliver a range of financial services to the people, businesses, nonprofits and government offices served by the bank. He will champion local implementation of Regions’ unique go-to-market strategy called Regions360. Through Regions360, bankers from Regions’ Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, Mortgage Banking and Wealth Management divisions work collaboratively to deliver the full range of Regions’ capabilities to clients.

“I am excited to bring all of Regions’ capabilities together to serve my hometown,” said Gormley. “We are focused on elevating our support for businesses, their employees, and clients with tailored financial solutions. And we will take new steps in terms of volunteerism and support for nonprofits through Regions’ Community Engagement strategy, which is designed to promote education opportunities, financial wellness, and greater prosperity throughout the area and beyond.”

Gormley succeeds Scott Barrow, who retired earlier this year after more than 40 years of faithful service to clients of Regions Bank and its predecessor, AmSouth.

“After Scott’s retirement, we knew it was critical to find someone who not only had the right experience but also a strong connection to this community,” said Christopher Esfeller, Commercial Banking Executive for Regions Bank. “John brings exactly that. His background in commercial finance, his deep ties to Pensacola, and his commitment to client-focused solutions make him the ideal leader to continue building on the solid foundation established by Scott and our local teams.”
