PENSACOLA, Fla. – July 29, 2025 – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced John Gormley has joined the company and will serve as Market Executive and Commercial Banking Leader in Pensacola and surrounding communities.

Gormley has nearly three decades of experience meeting the complex financial needs of municipalities and businesses in the area. Specializing in healthcare organizations, real estate firms, and automotive clients, Gormley has a proven record of delivering thoughtful financial solutions in collaboration with colleagues from multiple banking specialties. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at PNC Bank (previously BBVA Compass), where he led commercial and governmental banking relationships across North Florida and South Alabama. Gormley began his banking career in 2001 with SunTrust Bank in Pensacola.

As Market Executive leading Regions’ local operations, Gormley will guide bankers as they deliver a range of financial services to the people, businesses, nonprofits and government offices served by the bank. He will champion local implementation of Regions’ unique go-to-market strategy called Regions360. Through Regions360, bankers from Regions’ Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, Mortgage Banking and Wealth Management divisions work collaboratively to deliver the full range of Regions’ capabilities to clients.

Gormley succeeds Scott Barrow, who retired earlier this year after more than 40 years of faithful service to clients of Regions Bank and its predecessor, AmSouth.

Born and raised in Pensacola, Gormley is a graduate of the University of West Florida (UWF) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He currently serves on the boards of Lakeview Center, the Escambia County Sheriff Foundation, and Fiesta Pensacola. He is an alum of both Leadership Pensacola (2007) and Leadership Northwest Florida (2024) and has previously served on the UWF Alumni Association Board, UWF Foundation Board, the university’s Executive Mentor Program and Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida.
