JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dec. 22, 2020 – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced Jacksonville native Jim Branch has been appointed to serve as market executive for the bank in Jacksonville and surrounding communities along the First Coast.
Branch has nearly 20 years of mortgage banking experience, the last 13 of which have been with Regions. He joined the company as a mortgage loan officer and, for the last seven years, has served as mortgage production manager leading a team of bankers who help property owners and homebuyers achieve a wide range of financial goals.
“Jim is a dedicated leader who understands the financial needs and opportunities affecting people and businesses across Northeast Florida, and I know his experience and insights will help us build on our legacy of delivering superior customer service while making strategic investments in the community,” said John Turner, President and CEO of Regions Financial Corp. “From branch-banking customers, to local homeowners, small businesses, and major employers, our team is focused on delivering Regions’ best to every client we serve. Jim’s spirit of collaboration and teamwork will help us deepen relationships with existing customers and attract new customers as well.”
As market executive, Branch will work with leaders from across Regions’ business groups to help their teams deliver Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs. Through Regions360, bankers get to know the unique needs of clients and collaborate with colleagues in Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, Wealth Management, and other business groups to develop holistic financial solutions.
We have the size and scale to offer a wide range of financial services, but we also have deep roots in Jacksonville and the First Coast.

Branch will also work with colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for the bank to advance its key priorities for community engagement. Those priorities include financial wellness, education and workforce readiness, and economic and community development. A clear of example is Regions’ ongoing work in Jacksonville with the nonprofit Operation HOPE to deliver free, customized financial counseling.
“As financial professionals, the most rewarding aspect of our roles is helping clients envision what’s possible – and then building a plan to turn that vision into a reality,” Branch said. “We see that when we help first-time homebuyers achieve the American dream. We see that when a business succeeds. We see that when an individual client reaches a longtime goal. I am honored to lead the collaboration of Regions’ local teams. We have the size and scale to offer a wide range of financial services, but we also have deep roots in Jacksonville and the First Coast, meaning we can identify with our clients and deliver customized service. We look forward to continued growth in the years to come.”
Active in the community, Branch serves on the Board of Directors for HabiJax, the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Johns Country Day School. Branch’s volunteerism has also included time serving Junior Achievement and the Navy Ortega Lakeshore Little League.
Branch is a graduate of the University of North Florida and served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. His banking career began with HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation. He later worked with Vertical Mortgage before joining Regions in 2008.
