Regions Bank Announces Mark Jacobs as Houston Market Executive

Regions’ local leadership team brings a holistic approach to meeting customer and community needs in Houston and surrounding areas.

HOUSTON, Texas – June 21, 2018 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Mark Jacobs, Commercial Banking Leader for Regions in Southeast Texas, will now also serve as Houston Market Executive for the bank.

Jacobs joins a leadership team of bankers leveraging their local experience and market insights to expand Regions’ client base throughout Houston, the Energy Corridor and surrounding areas.

As Market Executive, Jacobs will work with colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for the bank and its associates to make a meaningful difference in response to local needs. Through volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education, and more, Jacobs and Regions’ entire leadership team will consistently reflect the company’s commitment to meeting clients’ needs and supporting the surrounding areas.

Jacobs joined Regions in 2013 and brings 30 years of banking experience to the Market Executive role. He will continue serving business customers as Commercial Banking Leader for the local market. Previously, Jacobs spent eight years with GE Capital and has held senior positions with Key Bank and Bank of America. Jacobs is very involved in the Houston community serving as a Trustee with Houston Grand Opera and as a member of Houston Rodeo’s Steer Auction Committee.

In addition to Jacobs, Regions’ local leadership team includes Earl Connell, Consumer Banking Executive responsible for Regions’ branch-banking operations at 29 locations across the Houston area, along with several new branches opening in 2018 and 120 additional branches elsewhere in Texas and southern Louisiana. Connell joined Regions in 2000 and successfully led branch-banking operations in the Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Tri-Cities, Tennessee, markets before joining the bank’s leadership team in Houston in 2015.

Further, the leadership team includes Ed Fussa of Regions Private Wealth Management, which serves investment clients through tailored financial advice and market insights. As Private Wealth Area Business Manager for Regions in Houston, Fussa and his team of professionals across the state reach high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with customized solutions designed to accomplish a variety of investment objectives. Fussa joined Regions in 2014 after serving as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley as well as serving in a variety of private banking positions for JPMorgan Chase. His financial services career began with Chemical Bank in 1992.

Together, Jacobs, Connell and Fussa will focus on reaching the objectives of Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs. Through Regions360, the company’s bankers learn the unique goals of each customer and collaborate with colleagues from across Regions’ departments to develop holistic solutions that are customized to meet individual needs.
