INDIANAPOLIS – Dec. 1, 2021– Regions Bank on Wednesday introduced its latest Indianapolis investment with the unveiling of a location that now serves as its most modern branch in the Hoosier State. Bank leaders joined OneZone Chamber of Commerce representatives to cut the ribbon and formally unveil Regions’ new Nora Plaza location.
The modern Nora branch is built to combine the latest in technology with the best in personal service from local bankers who take the time to listen to customers’ unique needs and deliver customized financial solutions. The branch at 1250 East 86th St. complements Regions’ enhanced online and mobile banking services and replaces the bank’s older 96th and Keystone Avenue and 93rd and Meridian Street branches. Situated near retail and restaurants, the new Nora location offers convenience and ease of use while prioritizing a positive customer experience.
This latest branch investment by Regions follows the opening of Regions’ modern Anson location in Whitestown in July of 2020 and the unveiling of a modernized downtown location in 2019.
“The way people conduct their banking business is changing, and Regions Bank is innovating and adapting to meet the needs of our customers not only today, but also well into the future,” said Erik Miner, market executive for Regions Bank in Indianapolis. “While we are consistently investing in our enhanced digital services, there remains a strong demand for people to receive personalized service from financial professionals who can help them reach their financial goals. That’s what we’re offering at this new Nora location. Our branch network investments, combined with Regions’ digital solutions, reflect how we’re delivering our best to the people and businesses we serve.”
The Nora location’s modern design features are evident as soon as customers enter the door. Rather than waiting in a traditional teller line, customers are greeted personally by branch team members upon their arrival. Bankers are ready to assist with processing transactions or having more in-depth conversations about financial decisions and goals.
The branch is also the latest in Indianapolis to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through a walk-up Video Banking ATM in the foyer, customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and even holidays. The foyer is accessible after-hours by scanning a debit or credit card with a magnetic stripe for entry.
The Nora location also includes two drive-up DepositSmart ATMs. In addition to dispensing cash, Regions’ DepositSmart ATMs can accept deposits of cash or checks any time around the clock.
“Our customers value the capabilities that Regions Video Banking and our DepositSmart ATMs add to the banking experience,” said Mike Stilwell, consumer banking manager for Regions Bank. “Being able to conduct quick transactions or even connect with a banker during non-traditional hours provides our customers with peace of mind. It’s just another way we’re empowering our customers to bank whenever and however it works best for them.”
Regions is celebrating the Nora location’s grand opening by recognizing area healthcare heroes and supporting nearby students. The bank delivered 200 lunches to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital COVID-19 nurses and emergency room attendants to thank them for their service. Associates are also collecting winter items for students from the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI). New coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and socks will be donated as part of the bank’s longtime community partnership with ISBVI and the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation (IBCF).
“Everyone in the Nora community has been so welcoming,” said Lora Lemon, manager of the new branch. “We wanted to find ways to support our neighbors as we open our new location. Delivering lunches to the healthcare professionals offered an opportunity to do something for those who have selflessly given so much during the past 20 months. And collecting items for the ISBVI students offered a way to build on the history we’ve established with the school and IBCF. We’re looking forward to reaching and serving new customers as we settle into this great community.”
