How Regions Bank is Prioritizing Mental Health in the Workplace

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

By Evelyn Mitchell | May 7, 2024

We all go through challenges from time to time, but it’s not always easy to talk about mental health. During Mental Health Awareness Month, Regions Bank is making it easier for associates to have those conversations.

Earlier this year, Regions Bank introduced a new mental health benefit in support of broader associate wellbeing. Through Headspace, Regions Bank offers free and confidential mental health support for all associates with access to meditation and mindfulness content, in-the-moment and 24/7 text-based coaching and short-term in-person or virtual counseling and more.

“Now, more than ever, it’s crucial for employers to show their employees how valued they are as individuals by offering comprehensive, quality programs that support their mental wellbeing,” said Mike Branca, head of Total Rewards. “Most importantly, Headspace is helping to remove some of the stigma that has existed around mental health. The addition of this additional mental health benefit complements our focus on consistently offering a workplace culture that prioritizes not only the needs of our customers but also the wellbeing of our people who are driving the services we deliver every day.”
