MIAMI, Fla. – Aug. 9, 2021 – Regions Bank on Monday announced the latest steps in its long-term growth in serving South Florida with the opening of two modern branches in Pinecrest and Pembroke Pines. The bank also plans to open a new branch in Sunset Place and modern replacement branches in Hialeah and City Place by late 2022, which will mark more than a year of intensified investments in Regions’ South Florida branch network. This latest series of investments began when Regions opened its modern, relocated South Beach branch in Miami Beach this past spring.
The Falls branch replaces an older office inside the shopping and entertainment district near the corner of 88th Avenue SW and 136th Street in Pinecrest. The new West Pembroke Pines branch, at the corner of Pines Boulevard and 160th Avenue SW in Pembroke Pines, replaces the nearby Flamingo Road branch in Cooper City. Both newly opened offices enhance Regions’ offering of modern, personalized banking in an area where the population continues to grow daily.
“South Florida is a vibrant, dynamic area. People from all over the country and world are coming to live here and grow their businesses here,” said Chris Cruzpino, market executive for Regions in Miami. “At Regions Bank, we are uniquely positioned to serve new and longtime residents, as well as companies that are coming here to thrive in our positive business environment. Our local team has been part of this community for many years, and we are committed to providing a positive customer experience, well-informed financial insights, innovative digital solutions, and a holistic banking relationship that helps customers meet their financial needs.”
Regions will celebrate the openings of its newest South Florida branches by treating local healthcare, education and firefighting heroes to lunch. The bank will safely deliver catered meals on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 10
Baptist Health South, 709 Alton Road, Miami Beach
South Beach Fire Station #1, 1051 Jefferson Avenue, Miami BeachThursday, August 12
Pembroke Pines Charter High School, 17189 Sheridan Street, Pembroke PinesFriday, August 13
Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 S.W. 152nd Street, Miami

“Not only is Regions Bank excited to grow along with South Florida, but many of our South Florida team members have lived and worked here for decades,” said Kelley Brown-Murro, Regions’ market executive for Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. “These modern branches are designed around the needs of today’s consumers. We’re not here to simply open accounts or make loans. We’re here to listen to customers’ unique goals and help them develop a financial roadmap toward reaching those goals.”
Customers who enter the Falls and West Pembroke Pines branches soon realize they’re not inside a traditional bank branch. There are no teller lines. Instead, a Regions banker instantly greets each customer and – in addition to helping open accounts or complete transactions – can speak in-depth about the customer’s present financial picture and offer guidance toward other financial ambitions.
Each location also offers Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through two Video Banking ATMs – one in the drive-through and one “walk-up” machine near the entrance of each branch – Regions customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Each location also includes a drive-up DepositSmart ATM, which can accept deposits of cash or checks any time, day or night.
“These new branches enhance our ‘omnichannel’ approach to banking at Regions,” said Teresa Diaz, consumer banking manager for Regions Bank. “We offer advanced digital services, and we place a high value on local service provided by local bankers. This allows our customers to seamlessly bank how they want, when they want.”
In-person services are available during regular branch hours, and customers may use the Make an Appointment feature on Regions.com ahead of their visit. Regions is recommending that customers and visitors wear a mask or face covering in Regions facilities. Throughout the pandemic, Regions has followed CDC guidelines and will continue to follow CDC guidance as the bank keeps the health and safety of associates and customers the number one priority.
