GULFPORT and BILOXI, Miss. – Jan. 4, 2021 – Regions Bank on Monday announced Chase Maxwell has been elevated to serve as the company’s market executive serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Maxwell succeeds Cheryl Johnson, who retired at the end of 2020 as Regions’ market executive for Gulfport, Biloxi, Bay St Louis, D’Iberville and Picayune. In his expanded market executive role, Maxwell will build on Johnson’s foundation of delivering competitive financial solutions from local bankers, while also providing meaningful community support.

“Cheryl Johnson is well known as a proud advocate for the Mississippi Gulf Coast and a dedicated financial professional who delivers her best for everyone she serves. Through Regions360, the company’s bankers learn the unique goals of clients and collaborate with colleagues from Regions’ various departments – including Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking and Private Wealth Management – to develop holistic solutions.

In addition, Maxwell will work with colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for the bank to make a meaningful difference through volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education and more. Maxwell will continuing serving as commercial relationship manager leading teams that deliver financial guidance and support to small-business owners and major employers across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
