Celebrating Frontline Heroes

April 13–17 marked Frontline First Week, recognizing the Regions associates behind trusted relationships and extraordinary service.

By Wayne Thompson | April 20, 2026

Region’s sixth Frontline First Week celebration (April 13-17) took Branch Manager Amy Camp back to the very first one.

The year was 2021. If a global pandemic wasn’t enough of a challenge, floodwaters swamped her branch in Cabot, Arkansas, so the team served customers first in the Portable Branch Facility and then in a trailer for several months until repairs were complete.

“The support that stemmed from that first FrontlineFirst Week Regions created gave us the motivation to get through each day,” Amy said. “The fact that Regions has continued to celebrate Frontline First says a lot about Regions’ values,” she said.

“I’m proud to work for a bank that recognizes it takes special people to create the extraordinary experiences behind primary banking relationships, and to work so well with business partners in delivering the full power of the bank to customers. In fact, I often mention Frontline First to candidates considering careers at Regions since it speaks volumes about our culture and what makes us different.”

Celebration of world-class service

John Jordan, head of Retail, said the people-first culture Frontline First celebrates is why Regions won the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award for the 12th consecutive year, continues to set new internal benchmarks for service excellence, and earned the No. 2 spot in American Banker’s Top 20 Banks by Reputation list, and other honors.

“What makes the Retail Bank such a special place to work and to bank is the extraordinary care, confidence and excellence associates display for each other and our customers every day,” Jordan said.

“That’s what happens when you create the best environment possible for associates to thrive, grow and deliver exceptional experiences,” he said. “Supercharging the team isn’t just our focus during Frontline First Week, but all year long.”

Ways to say ‘thanks’

Kate Danella, head of the Consumer Banking Group, said that’s why empowering teams and creating an exceptional workplace is so important to Regions.

“At Regions, we believe everyone should have a chance to build their financial confidence through a personalized plan and can’t deliver that without our frontline branch associates,” Kate said. “It was an honor to again thank this incredible group of people who make extraordinary seem ordinary.”

Extra day off, customer cards

Frontline First perks for associates include a voucher for one paid day off, celebratory meals that allowed branch teams to support local small businesses while enjoying time together, as well as the opportunity to wear jeans all week.

Customers visiting branches this week also filled out comment cards to share how Regions bankers have made a difference for them.

As was the case at branches across Regions’ 15-state Retail Banking footprint, Relationship Banker Denise Price and the Newnan (Georgia) Main Branch team took time before opening the doors every morning to read some of their customers’ messages.

Their favorite for the week was a note that read, “Region’s Frontline bankers make life better by how welcoming they are. The staff is awesome. They make you feel like family.”

Said Price, “We chose this as our favorite card of the week because it represents the type of environment we strive to have at our branch.”
