How Reunitus Claimed Success with Regions Embedded ERP Finance

Lost luggage is big business. Here’s how Regions Treasury Management helped Reunitus streamline back-office operations for enhanced financial performance.

By Chris Goldschmidt | April 3, 2026

Meet a company that’s going places.

Founded as Unclaimed Baggage in 1970, Reunitus has since grown into the world’s most advanced baggage resolution platform. Hotels, cruise lines, airlines, and airports all turn to Reunitus to ensure lost items get where they belong.

What if those articles can’t be matched with their original owner? They are sold both online and onsite at the company’s Scottsboro, Alabama, retail location. In fact, the Unclaimed Baggage store is a destination all by itself, welcoming more than a million visitors a year.

The Need

Before we had a bunch of disjointed systems, so finance, marketing, and sales were all in separate ecosystems. Marcus Williamson, Director of Finance at Reunitus

The bigger you get, the bigger the challenges become. Marcus Williamson, Director of Finance at Reunitus, needed to get a handle on growth. As a result, he spearheaded the turn to an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software system to coordinate operations, not to mention the flow of information.

“Before we had a bunch of disjointed systems, so finance, marketing, and sales were all in separate ecosystems. We chose a single ERP to get everything under one roof to have more operational horsepower.”

One major objective for the upgrade? Williamson and the rest of the Reunitus management team needed to have up-to-the-minute financial information.

“We see more than a thousand credit card transactions a month,” Williamson added, “That’s a pretty high volume that was really difficult for our financial staff to reconcile. So, in the past, we could only get accurate financial reports monthly.”

The Solution

“We’d done our research. When we learned that Reunitus had chosen an ERP, we immediately recommended Regions Embedded ERP Finance.

Kim Webster, Treasury Management relationship manager. That’s when Williamson turned to Regions Bank and Kim Webster, Treasury Management relationship manager. To Webster, keeping abreast of client needs and offering real-world solutions are all in a day’s work.

“We’d done our research,” Webster offered. “When we learned that Reunitus had chosen an ERP, we immediately recommended Regions Embedded ERP Finance.”

What is Regions Embedded ERP Finance? It gives a business’ ERP system streamlined access to financial data in real time. In turn, that leads to increased efficiency, improved performance, and nimble decision making.

Williamson saw the advantages immediately.

“Finance over the history of our company had been backward-looking. For our finance arm to lead the charge for growth over the next 12-18 months, Regions as part of our ERP would prove vital.”

Of course, smooth execution would be equally important. That’s where Regions’ standards of communication, attention to detail, and customer service proved key to success. With the help of Webster and a dedicated Regions staff, Williamson and his team enjoyed a seamless process.

“We got in touch with the appropriate team at Regions. They did their magic on the back end, and we connected them with our tech people. When they completed the hookup, I don’t think it even took forty-five minutes. The next day, data started flowing in.”

The Results

We have seen a big jump in productivity. Regions Embedded ERP Finance is enabling us to accomplish more work with the same number of people. Marcus Williamson

The short answer? “Our staff accountant is like a kid in a candy shop,” Williamson reports. “We have seen a big jump in productivity. Regions Embedded ERP Finance is enabling us to accomplish more work with the same number of people.”

At the same time, the management team at Reunitus enjoys how Regions Embedded ERP Finance provides a complete, accurate, and timely financial picture as they make decisions.

“We’re very ambitious. Having analytics of what works and what doesn’t is vital to our growth plans. The data at our fingertips to decide where to spend that money next.”

And Webster and Regions will be there with the solutions to help Williamson and Reunitus achieve those goals for growth.
