Frontline First: Regions Celebrates Its Own Heroes

The past 18-plus months have been challenging for all of us. But Regions Bank’s branch associates have been on the front lines, serving our customers in person every day.

Regions has its very own frontline superheroes. They might not wear capes or even stethoscopes, but they have been the face of Regions, continuing to serve our customers and communities throughout the pandemic.

That’s why Regions created Frontline First week – a time to thank these frontline heroes for keeping our branches open. Frontline First literally put branch associates “first in line” for recognition of their commitment to meeting the financial needs of our customers and communities.

To celebrate, teammates from outside of the branch network worked together behind the scenes to ensure more than 1,350 shiny green envelopes were packed with care to be shipped to each branch in the Regions footprint.

“We were thrilled to be able to help recognize the associates in our branches for their work throughout the pandemic,” said Valerie Ramsbacher, Regions Corporate Communications program manager. “Each green envelope was packed by fellow associates who want to honor the service of our frontline heroes. Thanks to teamwork from across the bank, we were able to make life better for our branches and share a token of our appreciation for their commitment.”

Each envelope contained gifts – from Frontline Hero stickers to wear at work to gift cards and vouchers for extra time off – to make frontline associates feel appreciated. And of course, branches enjoyed special food throughout the week as well, from coffee and breakfast treats to lunch ordered from local restaurants, many of which are also customers.

“It’s hard to express how appreciative we were to be recognized,” said Bob Lorelli, Regions Bank branch manager in Selma, Alabama. “In addition to all the challenges of COVID, our branch was recently re-designed, and we have seen a lot of change in our local community, as well. We’ve stayed focused on our customers through it all, and have seen them benefit from new technology in our branch as we have worked to meet their needs during the pandemic. We have been using the phrase ‘We Are Selma’ to let everyone know we are ‘all in’ on helping improve the lives of everyone in our community.”

Lorelli said seeing his team recognized for its passion to serve customers “has been incredible. Having our leaders celebrate our achievements during Frontline First is something we will never forget. It has inspired all of us to continue to reach higher in everything we do.”

Regions thanks branch associates for being there for our customers every day. You are true frontline heroes.
