Serving all autism affects creates a ripple effect throughout the family.

The Autism Society of East Tennessee was started by a group of mothers seeking different opportunities for their children. The society serves 36 counties in Tennessee, which was the last state to mandate insurance for autism.

What sets us apart from others in our community is that we serve all autism affects, as we know it creates a ripple effect throughout the family. We serve the child, parents, educators and service providers.

Over the last year, we have partnered with a local volunteer to develop a new program that assists adults on the autism spectrum with social skills and community engagement. Traditionally, this has been a demographic that has seen the least in terms of service.

The Mission

The Autism Society of East Tennessee provides access to educational, social and supportive services to those affected by autism. We offer a free resource database searchable by areas of interest, ZIP codes and service providers called ASDHub.

What Would You Do with $5,000 and a Day of Service?

We would use the money and day of service to enhance our upcoming Family Fun Day for families affected by autism. Family Fun Day is scheduled for Aug. 29.
