Regions Tradition 2024: The Celebrity Pro-Am

Coaches of the SEC, Condoleezza Rice, and more.

By Mel Campbell | May 9, 2024

What a way to kick off the 2024 Regions Tradition! In addition to some great weather and great crowds, attendees got a unique chance to see and speak with some of the most notable coaches in SEC football and other celebrities, including:

  • Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
  • Nick Saban
  • Kalen DeBoer
  • Hugh Freeze
  • Senator Tommy Tuberville
  • Kirby Smart
  • Riley Green
  • Trent Dilfer
  • And more

Each year, the stars come out to be a part of the kickoff the Regions Tradition. And while golf may be the name of the game (and certainly fun on the links!), the first hole not only featured introductions to the players, but also patients and families representing Children’s of Alabama.

The patients were beneficiaries of the technology and new treatments made possible by charitable funds raised by the Regions Tradition. Since 2011, the tournament has raised $11.5 million of charities, with the bulk of those funds supporting Children’s of Alabama.

But the first day of the tournament was more than a reminder of the “why” they tournament exists; it was also a reminder of the fun and community spirit that brings both celebrities and spectators together to support such a worthy cause.

Check out a little taste of the fun from the 2024 Regions Tradition Celebrity Pro-Am.
