Regions is Ready to Propel Growth in Huntsville and North Alabama

With the help of a newly assembled, talented banking team, Huntsville is ready to reach for the stars.

By Chris Goldschmidt | February 26, 2026

It’s a city that sent men to the moon. So, lofty aspirations are nothing new when it comes to Huntsville, Alabama.

Today, Huntsville is on a hot streak with new industries, new opportunities, and no signs of slowing down. Regions has always been an important component of that success, fueling growth at every stage of its history.

Even more importantly, with exciting new developments making news on a regular basis, Regions is working to be the catalyst for the next exciting phase of growth for the region. One way the bank is doing so is by assembling a roster of bankers with knowledge that’s second to none in the area, blending the responsiveness of a local bank with deep experience.

According to Regions Market Executive Sean Kelly, “We have had a presence in Huntsville for well over a century. Today this market is perhaps more important to us than ever before. That’s why we’ve created a team of talented Commercial bankers that will offer experience this area needs for continued growth.

“That means being able to serve clients ranging from emerging small businesses to larger middle market companies in a variety of industries including defense and government services, manufacturing, healthcare and beyond. I’m thrilled that Regions is committed to helping the state of Alabama and the city of Huntsville thrive by actively seeking out talent that can help drive growth.”

For people with a mission

Bringing on board the right talent isn’t happenstance. It’s creating an atmosphere where talent thrives. Finding the right people—and empowering them to meet customer needs.

One crucial step in continuing the momentum on an already high performing team was Kelly’s recruitment of Commercial Banking Leader, Chris Patty. Patty brings a long-established tenure and a wealth of knowledge in the defense and government services sector which is critical to Huntsville.

With the addition of Patty, coupled with help from the existing team of talented and experienced bankers Hollie Collins, Scott Weaver, William Monroe, Regions has been able to attract some valuable additions to the team in Will Kendall, Alison Cannon and Sage Dombrowski.  The Team has quickly come together, resulting in a team of engaged, talented relationship managers that draw on a wealth of experience. While they come from diverse backgrounds, they share one thing in common: enthusiasm for being part of Regions during this phase of the city’s exciting growth.

Meet this Regions Commercial Banking team, and learn why they’re so excited about making a difference in the area’s future:

Chris Patty, Commercial Banking Leader, Joined 2025

“When I joined Regions last year, the thing that attracted me most was how we offer the capabilities and resources of a large bank, but with more of a local banker and regional feel. That allows us to approach Huntsville in a way that really fits the market’s needs.”

Hollie Collins, Relationship Manager, Joined 2024

“I came on board Regions for the opportunity to work closely with our specialty groups such as tech and defense. That’s a huge advantage for our clients, because we can deliver those solutions and a very local brand of service at the same time—plus Regions enjoys an exceptional reputation in the market. We work well together and we want each other to succeed. I like coming to work in this environment every day.”

Scott Weaver, Relationship Manager. Joined 2021

“I’ve been in Huntsville for thirty years. When you have people who know you and trust you, there’s a synergy. And when it comes to resources we have at Regions, I really haven’t found any product or service we can’t provide. That’s because Regions has tremendous resources, even though we keep a local focus at all times, including in how we make decisions. That makes us a bank the size of an ocean that operates like we’re in a pond.”

William Monroe, Relationship Manager. Joined 2020

“The working relationships at Regions are open and honest, creating an environment where everyone genuinely wants you to succeed. That culture allows me to show up authentically every day. I don’t have to put on a mask—when I come to work, I can be myself in every way.”

“I came on board because Regions can offer clients such a wide variety of services, including a real customer focused culture that builds strong relationships based on their needs and goals. That means a customer service approach that is completely unique. Best of all….we have the most fun, the best bosses, and great energy.

“The capabilities of Regions makes a big difference, especially when it comes to offering clients everything needed for growth. Our combination of local banker collaboration and knowledge has proved both interesting and exciting.”

Sage Dombrowski, Relationship Manager. Joined July 2025

“One of the big attractions of working at Regions is culture. There’s energy and a collaborative environment to create solutions. The customer comes first in what we do, so that means that we enjoy a high degree of trust.

“The camaraderie at Regions is striking, and it’s genuine.”

Will Kendall, Relationship Manager. Joined Huntsville/North Alabama team 2025

“I moved up to North Alabama from Birmingham, where I had spent more than seven great years. I’m now excited for the opportunity to work with new companies and business owners alongside this experienced and energetic team. The growth that North Alabama continues to see, combined with the bank’s commitment to the market, makes Huntsville and the surrounding areas an exciting place to be.”

A great launch pad

A dynamic economy, educated workforce, and can-do civic attitude have all combined to make Huntsville an area of investment for Regions. And with opportunities like this, that means that the sky’s the limit.
