Ryan Pikunis is a lifesaver. That description rarely suits a bank branch manager, but in Ryan’s case, it’s the perfect fit. Recently, when one of his customers went into cardiac arrest, Ryan gave him CPR for nearly 15 minutes until emergency crews arrived – doctors say it’s the reason the customer is still alive today.
Ryan has been a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician since he was 16 years old. He says it’s his passion, a way to give back to the community and touch people’s lives.
Ryan regularly touches the lives of special families who visit Orlando from all over the world. He spends at least one day a month as a kitchen volunteer at Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses by providing their families a free place to stay while they make all expense-paid visits to Orlando theme parks. Regions is donating $1,000 to the village in Ryan’s honor.
