Regions Bank Opens Renovated MidCity Huntsville Branch

Modern location combines local service with more convenient technology.

By Jennifer Elmore | July 7, 2020

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – July 7, 2020 – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced the opening of its newly renovated MidCity Huntsville branch, which combines personal service from local bankers with updated technology.

The branch is at the corner of Old Monrovia Road and University Drive NW. Renovations began last fall to transform the branch into one of the most modern Regions locations in North Alabama. While construction was underway, a modular branch facility served customers on-site.

“During all the challenges presented by COVID-19, access to convenient, customized financial services has never been more important for many of our clients,” said Sean Kelly, Huntsville Market Executive for Regions Bank. “The vision we have for this location is to combine the best in personal service with the latest in technology. It’s about building a banking experience that better meets the needs of customers today – and into the future.”

The branch is staffed by local financial professionals who provide services that go far beyond simply opening accounts or processing transactions. The MidCity team is available to help customers create financial roadmaps to reach individual goals.

In addition, the branch becomes the latest in North Alabama to offer Regions Video Banking ATM service. Through the Video Banking ATM, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during expanded hours.

Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time.

They are available from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT on weekdays. They are also available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and all holidays. The Video Banking ATM can be found in the branch’s drive-through.

The MidCity Huntsville location also features three Regions DepositSmart ATMs. Through the DepositSmart machines, customers can use the ATMs to not only withdraw cash – but also make deposits of cash or checks at any time, around the clock.

The branch now offers the added convenience of a Video Banking ATM. Regions Video Bankers offer personal service well into the evening and during weekends and holidays.

“Our enhanced technology capabilities are major benefits to our customers during this time of social distancing,” said Paula Robley, Consumer Banking Manager for Regions. “We want our customers to know they can count on us to deliver the services and solutions they need, when they need them.”

In-person services are currently being conducted by appointment only, similar to all Regions branches throughout the bank’s footprint, to help protect the health and well-being of customers and associates during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regions plans to host a ribbon-cutting event with the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce to formally dedicate the facility on a date to be announced.

“Opening the MidCity Huntsville branch is an important milestone in our bank’s commitment to North Alabama,” said Heather James, MidCity Huntsville branch manager. “Our team of associates looks forward to serving longtime customers and welcoming new ones to visit the branch and see the upgrades inside. We are proud of our new space and the opportunities it provides our customers.”

Regions’ MidCity associates are available to meet with customers and discuss their financial goals. While the branch is open for business, interior access is by appointment only due to COVID-19.
