Regions Bank Names Port City Native Christian White as Mobile Market Executive

White is part of a local leadership team that brings a holistic approach to meeting customer and community needs across South Alabama.

By Jennifer Elmore | February 3, 2020

MOBILE, Ala. – Feb. 3, 2020 – Regions Bank on Monday announced Mobile native Christian White, Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for Regions, has been promoted to serve as Market Executive for the bank in Mobile and surrounding communities.

White is part of a team of Regions leaders who will leverage their local experience and market insights to expand Regions’ client base while also taking a strategic, proactive role in addressing needs affecting the broader community. White will work with colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for the bank to make a meaningful difference through volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education and more.

White will also continue serving in his Commercial Banking leadership role, guiding teams that deliver financial solutions for local businesses and major employers in Mobile and along the Gulf Coast.

“Regions Bank has a strong legacy of service in Mobile, and our teams across South Alabama are committed to working with clients and helping them reach their financial goals while also taking a leadership role in community engagement and support,” said John Turner, Regions President and CEO. “Christian’s expertise, combined with the experience of our entire South Alabama leadership team, will help Regions further strengthen its focus on this thriving area. We are committed to the success of Mobile and to consistently developing new ways to serve the Gulf Coast.”

As Market Executive, White will work with Regions leaders across all banking departments to focus their teams on implementing Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs. Through Regions360, the company’s bankers learn the unique goals of clients and collaborate with colleagues from Regions’ various departments – including Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking and Private Wealth Management – to develop holistic solutions.

Mobile is my home, and I couldn’t be prouder to serve Regions in my hometown.

“There is strong momentum in Mobile’s diverse economy, with economic development projects being announced regularly and continued growth of our state’s Port City,” White said. “Mobile’s success directly translates to the success of the entire region and state, and Regions Bank is proud to offer customized services and tailored solutions that can help the companies here, and those being recruited here, grow and succeed.

“In addition, our local branch network is staffed by experienced professionals who understand the needs and opportunities affecting individual consumers, and we consistently work to help the people we serve reach their own financial objectives.”

White succeeds Brian Willman, who has been elevated to serve as Head of Commercial Banking for Regions and will be based in Birmingham.

“Serving as Market Executive is a highlight of my career at Regions, and I’m proud of our growth in reaching more clients across Mobile and South Alabama,” Willman said. “Christian White is a strong leader, and I am confident he will help our teams reach new heights, prioritizing the financial needs of our clients and assisting in our community’s succes. I look forward to seeing his mark on South Alabama’s continued growth.”

White joined Regions in Birmingham in 2003 and has served in a number of positions within the company’s Commercial Banking group. He returned to his hometown of Mobile in 2013 and has since been instrumental in growing Regions’ commercial lines of business across South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

White is a 1999 graduate of U.M.S-Wright Preparatory School and is a 2003 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, where he earned a degree in Economics. Active in the Mobile community, White serves on the boards of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce and Wilmer Hall, where he currently serves as board president. White and his family are active members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
