BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Aug. 3, 2020 – Regions Bank today announced that it has named Paula Drake executive vice president and chief communications officer. Drake will report to Chief Human Resources Officer Dave Keenan and lead the bank’s Corporate Communications team responsible for internal and external communications, market public relations, content publishing and video production.
“I am excited to welcome Paula to Regions and am confident that her leadership skills and experience will add tremendous value to our Corporate Communications team and to our company,” said Keenan. “The addition of the new role of chief communications officer will strengthen how we develop and implement communication programs that promote Regions’ corporate culture and support our business strategy.”
With more than 23 years of corporate communications experience, Drake joins Regions following a 16-year career with Home Depot. She most recently served as corporate and executive communications director where she championed innovative communication strategies and led teams that produced content for podcasts, videos and the company’s online newsroom. Drake also served as a media strategist and spokesperson for Home Depot and partnered with other areas of the organization to drive message consistency. Before starting her career with Home Depot, she served as a public relations manager for UPS where she planned and implemented high-profile publicity campaigns and media opportunities.
Drake graduated from Shorter College with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Master of Arts degree from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the National Investor Relations Institute.
